Should the GTS be modified

i was wondering if gamefreak should modify the gts, in order to prevent people from putting hacked pokemon on offer.....
one idea i came up were that more details of the pokemon that's on offer should be shown to us, so we may conclude if its hacked or legit, for example its location of capture, the pokeball its captured in etc...what do you guys think?

I think I'm tired of impossible offers [lvl 9 and under Resh/Zekrom -_-]

I'm more worried about getting those offers cleaned off than whether or not someone snuck a hacked last gen poke onto the board.

Too bad its already happened

Blatant hacks are blocked (like stuff with illegal moves, move sets, and illegal leveled pokes)

You cant just ban regular "normal" looking hacks, like a wild "Met on Route 1" Entei. It's pretty much impossible to stop those from coming.

Should definitely be a priority for the next game that they do some serious overhaul with GTS. Like you said, pokeball, location of capture, OT, just to name a few. It's pretty obvious that most of the pokemon in the lelel 91-100 range are hacked, but with lower and mid level pokemon it can be harder to tell.

And it might be a little painstaking for the programmers, but it would eliminate a lot of useless clutter: You shouldn't be able to ask for pokemon that can't legitimately come in that level. Then all the level 9 and under reshiram/zekrom requests would finally be gone!

Yes, they should. This should also be done to keep people from requesting things like Lv 9 and under Reshiram.

so i think showing those details to the user will prevent him from getting scammed wouldn't it?

What he meant is he wanted to see stats and the location so we could decide if it was hacked or not so we do not get caught out by hackers.

Well, of course. That is a given everybody wants that.

But its not like they aren't going to be put up in the first place. And theres Pokesav for smart-er hackers that make their pokemon look legit.

Whether or not hackers make their stuff look more legit, I think most people are concerned with getting rid of the requests for level 9 and under reshiram/zoroark/hydreigon/zekrom/etc. I can go through pages of available pokemon, but if they all want something that shouldn't legally exist, than there's not much trading to be done on GTS.

Seemed to me to work just fine in 4h gen.
They don't let us see enough info on GTS and negotiations for us to determine a hack. I traded my Walrein for a level 1 treecko in a pokeball.. Met at dragonspiral tower, no egg. I'd also like to have a system where they manually input every pokemon's possible locations, moves, pokeballs, etc. It would take time, but pokemon is a huge franchise. It's worth it.

I think an overhaul would definitely help. Sorry to be like everyone else, but I'm tired of "Level 9 or under" requests for Tyranitar/Reshiram/Zekrom/Arceus. All for a Pokemon like Feebas or something random. It's stupid and pointless, I don't see why people do it.

I also don't like how you can only see around 7 trades at a time w/o changing the search specs.

ORAS is here!
Pretty much the best thing that could be edited would be disallowing people from requesting impossible Pokemon (I see Lv. 9 and Lower Zekrom quite often). It's quite annoying and takes up space that could be used to show me people who are actually interested in trading.

I think it is a great idea if GameFreak would allow us to view the summary page of the pokemon we are going to trade, so we know it is not hacked.

It would be great if GameFreak would allow us view the natures of the pokemon we are going to trade>> That would save us a lot of time to search for a pokemon with the right nature on the GTS.

Trainmaster made a great point! GameFreak should modify the GTS where ridiculous trades should not be allowed, so we can actually trade with people that actually wants to do some trading. )Ex. Shiny Palkia for lvl. 9 Zekrom) -______-"

- able to view the summary of the Pokemon people put up for trades.

- prevent impossible requests.

- allow us to search based on what people want (their request), rather than what we have. It still can be limited by what is on our Dex, but searching based on what people want would make trading so much easier.
For example, I have a spare lv 40 Terrakion, but I don't know who wants a lv 40 Terrakion and what Pokemon they are offering. It takes too much time searching every single Pokemon, and even then, someone who wants a Terrakion might not appear on the list, or he/she appears but wants a lv 100 one. If I can search anyone who wants a lv 40 Terrakion, it would be nice for the others (their Pokemon gets traded faster) and for me as well.

- allow us to limit the search result to only Pokemon that holds item.
This makes it easier to find someone who puts up Pokemon that evolves by trading while holding certain item.

- make it so that you can request a legendary only if you offer a legendary as well. This would prevent stupid things such as request lv 100 Dialga for lv 10 Bidoof.

Absolutely!

As far as I'm aware, the only people who use the GTS are hackers and noobs. Serebii's Wifi Chat is so much better!
