Should there be a Redub of Ash’s Kanto Saga?

It might get rejected, but does anyone think Ash’s adventures in Kanto (Not the Battle Frontier in Kanto) have a redub, like Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon Did?

Word. The re-dubbing would be Epic. Picture this, during the episode where Ash rode Ponyta. The scene where Tauros and Nidorina retire.

Announcer - What’s going on? Tauros is going Rodeo-Crazy! Ouch! It impacted Nidorina! And it’s gotten angry! Nidorina and Tauros battle while they disobey their trainers, and since battling is against the rules, two are disqualified!

James - That’s a direct hit!

Jessie - That’s two down.

Aweh I love Sarah Natochenny. Of course Veronica will always be remembered but Sarah is awesome too.

Anyways, do you mean like just redub the original or like remake the original kanto journey? Because they sort of did the latter already with the that AU movie.

4kids dub is good and too nostalgic.

TPCi would almost always be inferior in direction 100% and acting. People literally are nostalgic for 4kids on Twitter and other sites right now. Their dialogue rewrites were at least entertaining to say the least.

I think they absolutely should.

Just to make myself clear, I come from an outsider perspective: I'm not from an English-speaking country, so I didn't grow up watching the 4Kids dub. I did, however, watch a lot of stuff that was previously censored by 4Kids before being distributed and redubbed in my country, and I absolutely LOATHED what they did to the material, especially Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece and, of course, Pokémon. So, for me, not only should they redub it, but they should also remove all the unnecessary censorship they put in. I don't know if that happened in the Dragon Ball Z, for instance.

But again, I don't have the strong emotional connection to this version that most people do, and I completely understand it – I have my fair share of personal biases for media of questionable objective quality.

I guess what would depend on what the censors of now would allow, if they were to reduce and re-edit the Kanto Saga...

Only if it's to give us a more faithful dub. So more accurate scripts, no censors, 100% Japanese music (and openings), and no jelly filled donuts! If they do these things, I'm all for a redub, and I wouldn't care which cast is used (heck I'll even take a new one if I must).

I've been watching the series again and I feel if they re-dubbed it, a lot of what made the Indigo arc special would be lost. Ash and Misty are much more sarcastic to each other, Ash has a major attitude issue and honestly, it feels like there's a bit more character in him compared to later arcs where he just becomes the typical shonen nice guy. Honestly, I feel they should just leave it be, it still holds up relatively well and one of the only reasons you'd know it's old is it has that 90s anime look about it before everything went digital.
