Should there be alternate evolutionary lines of Starter Pokemon?

Which region should have a starter Pokemon alternate evolved form?

Hey. I was thinking, should there be any of the starter Pokemon with an alternate evolutionary line? I.e. Chikorita into a Grass/Fairy type, Sobble into a Water/Ghost type, Treecko or Snivy as a Grass/Dragon type? I’ll listen to your opinions.

Chikorita into a Grass/Dragon so it can survive against Falkner and Bugsy. Those guys are unfair against the Chikorita for early 2 gyms in a row but its bad for slower grass type compared to Charmander.

I'm mentioning this since it was Fire Red Leaf Green they didn't gave Charmander Metal Claw but in the Heart Gold Soul Silver Chikorita doesn't get anything.

Also Gen 2 is just unfair for the grass starter

Falkner: Flying
Bugsy: Bug
Whitney (Most players tend to go after Heracross or Muscle the female Machop trade)
Morty: The starters don't have any advantages over the other but Croconaw Feraligator can learn Crunch
Chuck: He has Polywrath who is still very bulky
Jasmine: Steel types are good walls against Grass
Price: He has Ice types and Ice moves (even with Dewgong and Cloyster's half water types isn't enough to hit them)
Clair: She has Dragon types. The only real effective pokemon here are dragons like Dragonite but getting to level 55 takes a LONG time
Lance has Dragons
Bonus boss red has 3 pokemons with Blizzard (Hail gives Blizzard a massive accuracy boost

I think if it is implemented it would be done by regional variants, at least at first, since it would give some more in-universe justification for why these split evolutions are showing up and why such a thing would occur. One good demonstration of this concept would be Bulbasaur; you can just switch the growth on its back. I can see a Grass/Fairy Bulbasaur that uses a mushroom (you know, a literal toadstool) and becomes a "Fungasaur" in its final form. If you want to do a regional variant of a starter that's not a starter type (say, you wanna experiment and do another type triangle) for most starters I think it would be necessary. I don't think it's out of left field for Gamefreak; you could breathe a lot of new life into old starter Pokemon. And I mean, isn't that half the point of regional variants?

Dragon neither resists nor is super effective to either of those types, so that wouldn’t change a thing.

What i find odd about Chikorita in gen 2 is that they gave it a 60BP rock move (ancient power) but they made it an egg move rather than just give it a level up rock move that helps it a bit to get through the early gym battles.

I'd be up for alternate lines, regional forms, alternate evolutions, or something similar to allow evolutionary lines to vary it up. It was a lot of fun to see the Hisuian starters and it could be fun to expand the concepts for starters.

Making a regional variant of Meganium or counterpart with the Rock type would be neat. Make it really lean into that dinosaur go brr energy

I didn't know that one. That SUCKS since knowing that you don't get trades/imports/breeder until right after the first two gyms.

I'll go with Galar, as I only like Cinderace out of all the fully evolved starters, and they all stay single-type even in their final forms.

I really liked that Legends Arceus had alternate versions of the final starter evos, I would love to see more of that for sure! Either as regional forms or totally alternate evos
