Shroomy's Adventures, REWRITTEN!

Jetx

hooray, it's Jetx!
Yes, that terrible fic is back in what i hope is a good version. I don't wanna rewrite this again so I tried pretty hard. The last chapter one was one and a half pages long, i warn you, this one is seven pages long. XD

I've planned this entire fic, almost, it is based on Shroomy the breloom. And I've been yacking about it for a while now. But renegade (before she left) persuaded me to rewrite it, and I did. This is it, I hope you like the new version of SHROOMY'S ADVENTURES!

(currently suitable for all)

Shroomy’s adventures
Chapter 1: Happy worst-day! (7 Pages)
The world was quiet. All that could be heard was the small chirp of a bird, which soon faded into silence. The early sun rose up into the sky and washed its bright beams all over the land. But the world was still quiet.

Down in a valley between two mountains of brown rock, and near a peaceful town, there was a great tree, which inside, looked like a house. Inside the tree’s many rooms a small cream-coloured pokemon was resting in a big, white and fluffy bed. Lying very warm, and happily. The pokemon rose up his arm and scratched his green head’s tip tiredly.

The sun’s light pushed its way through the green leaves and into the treehouse. It beamed into the pokemon’s eyes causing them to open and him to wake up.
“Stupid sun.” he groaned, getting out of his bed and stepping onto the wooden floorboards.
He peered up at a small clock which hung on the wall, realising that he’d overslept. He pushed his way through the house and dashed to the breakfast table. But nobody was there. The black table just sat in an empty room. It was if he was the only thing alive.
“But, David wouldn’t leave without me.” He sighed resting his head against his red hand.

He stepped outside and looked around. The entire valley was empty, with no life. The wind howled pushing rocks along, and the rocks just echoed throughout the valley. The entire valley was lifeless.

The small pokemon twisted his head and stared into the nearby town; which was also lifeless. The pokemon was stranded on the island; it was just a small patch of grass in the middle of a lake. He was lonely; there was no way he could jump from the island and over the lake to land on the nearby wooden bridge. It would be impossible.

The lonely pokemon lay there, crying and sobbing until eventually he saw something.

The lake was swamped over in a dark shadow; the pokemon looked up and saw a huge black monster flying over him and staring. It looked like a giant doll. The small pokemon tried to look threatening and growled.
“Oi, you weird, big black thing. I, Shroomy, ruler of saving the valley will slay you!”
He looked up but the monster was still, just floating above him. The giant stomach of the beast bulged and letter appeared on its body.

“Oh, I know what you are, a bannette!” he smiled, glad to know what it was. But it was just too big to be a bannette.

Shroomy looked around and smiled as he saw a sharp, grey rock lying on the grass behind him. He backed up against the tree and waved his tail in the air. The letters on the bannette were growing more visible. Shroomy smiled and tossed the rock up to it.

The bannette was stabbed by the rock. Its body had huge hole in it and whizzed all over the sky. It shot about in the air and eventually began to sink into the lake.

Shroomy focused onto the bannette and saw what the letters said. ‘Happy Birthday.’

Shroomy felt tears brewing up in his eyes as he stared over at David, his trainer, who was crying. The surprise birthday party was ruined.

Sound returned to the valley and round-ball shaped pokemon came to the surface of the lake and gasped for air.

Shroomy sat, leaning against the tree sadly. He looked up at a bird pokemon with a big orange beak. The bird looked at David and then back at Shroomy. Both had there hands on their heads and were upset.
“Shroomy, he’s as sad as you are. He thinks you’re annoyed that everything is ruined and you didn’t like what he did for you. You just need to go and cheer him up. You’re a year old in human time. Mature, go on, d’ya wanna make him happy?” the bird said.
Shroomy lifted his head, as if he was about to sigh, but he didn’t. He slowly lifted himself to his feet and turned to the big white bird. A smile grew on the big bird’s huge beak, and he patted Shroomy on the back with his wing.
“Thanks Pelipper. Thanks,” Shroomy smiled, he paused for moment and put on an evil smile. Pelipper began frown and backed away, he knew what was coming. Shroomy’s grin grew larger.
“Tail to wing wrestle!” Shroomy cried happily. Pelipper sighed and stretched out his long white wing.

“You cleaned that didn’t you?” smiled Shroomy looking at Pelipper’s wing, which was sparkly in the sun’s rays.

Pelipper sighed as he looked at his arm, he remembered cleaning it, sitting in David’s bath scrubbing it just Shroomy’s birthday, but Shroomy just thought he did it for no reason.

“Yes, I cleaned it,” Pelipper sighed, thinking he was the one with a ruined day. “But it’s gonna get all dirty now…”

Shroomy chuckled, and wrapped his long tail around Pelipper’s wing, some green seeds that sat on the tip of Shroomy’s tail, were tapping against Pelipper in an intimidating way.

Shroomy mouthed to Pelipper, ‘Three, two, one…’

Suddenly Pelipper grew red and narrowed his eyes onto Shroomy’s tail.

“Not gonna win!” He said weakly as he pushed, he grew redder and angrier.

Shroomy bit his lip and pushed up onto Pelipper’s wing angrily, but he wasn’t putting in as much effort. Pelipper’s wing was pushed back and began lower down onto the mud that lay below. Sludgy and unpleasant, and Pelipper’s fresh-cleaned wing was about to take a dive in it.

Shroomy suddenly stopped pushing as he saw David, sitting on the nearby bridge, sobbing. He rubbed his hands against his face, and raised his head for a while. Shroomy watched tears sliver down his depressed face, and his white hair was all screwed up. His headband was floating in water, but he didn’t care. He was to upset to care about anything other than the fact he was a failure.

“Ha! You lost, you actually lost. I owned you, hah!” a voice roared.

Shroomy shook his head and remembered he was with Pelipper. He looked around and saw Pelipper, soaring through the sky shouting “Victory!”

Shroomy looked back down and remembered David, he lifted and his leg pressed it to the floor, then he jumped, in attempt to reach the bridge.

He noticed a tug on his tail, and slammed onto the mud pool. Pain slipped in, as did humiliation and anger. He looked back remembering that he’d lost the match with Pelipper and his tail was jammed in the sludgy mud.

Shroomy cringed and lifted himself up, crunching his eye lids together in pain. He loked across, and saw David spring from the bridge and dance on it waving his hands in the air, hoping Shroomy was okay.

Shroomy yanked his tail out of the mud, it looked like rotten choclate bar, but Shroomy didn’t care. David threw himself off the bridge; there was a crack as he body-slammed the water. He floated up holding his chest in agony.

Shroomy waved to Pelipper, but he was still dancing in the air with his eyes closed. He looked at the bridge and saw Phoenix, his rival, trying to help David, and get all the credit.

She stretched out her long arms, which usually were in flames, but she couldn’t touch David like that.

“Stupid blaziken,” Shroomy mumbled looking at Phoenix. “She’s not taking MY credit!”

He leapt into the water and grabbed David’s hands; he smiled, but noticed how they warm with pain. He pulled David to the shore, and took off his white clothes, which where drenched. There were red marks all over his chest; it must’ve been a painful hit. Phoenix was sitting on the bridge waving her fist angrily at Shroomy. Shroomy smiled and continued to rub David’s chest.

He felt something on his neck; David was stroking him. Shroomy smiled proudly and pulled David up.
“So, let’s go for a day out!” David cheered happily.
Pelipper, Shroomy and Phoenix walked off into the distance for a fun day out.

Eventually they returned and looked very happy, and cheered up. They all returned to the tree base for some tea. David’s other three pokemon were sitting there disappointed. David took them away to explain leaving the others to eat their tea.

“That trip was wrecked,” Phoenix said crushing her jaw onto some meat. “Your birthday, my butt, it sucked with you around!”

Shroomy growled and his eye twitched angrily. He grabbed a seed and bit it powerfully. Pelipper shifted his eyes between the two of them, angry about how Phoenix had just lashed out at Shroomy on his birthday.

“It sucked; the spheal was mine and David buts in and says ‘No, Shroomy’s birthday boy!’ it sucks like hell. You blew up that balloon, that wasn’t cheap you know?” Phoenix shoved her hand into the meat and pulled out some glistening blood, she smiled evilly.

Shroomy threw the seeds into his mouth and got up from his chair; he stamped on the floor and lashed his two red fingers at Phoenix attempting to punch her. Phoenix laughed at it.

“You suck, c’mon at me then, I’ll thrash you!” she laughed.

“SHUT UP! Phoenix, you suck, leave Shroomy alone, Shroomy, calm down. I am so gonna tell David about this!” Pelipper growled throwing a silver fish into his beak.

“You can’t talk to humans, genius.” Phoenix laughed. Shroomy left his chair again and stomped off to his room.

“So you have to get me involved?” Pelipper growled at Phoenix, who shrugged her shoulders and didn’t care. Pelipper swung his head around and spat all over Phoenix’s meat.

Phoenix reached out and tried to grab Pelipper by the neck, but she missed.

“Now who sucks?” Pelipper laughed and then went off to Shroomy’s room.

Pelipper slid into Shroomy’s room, Shroomy and his head stuck in a pillow and was crying heavily.

“Shroomy?” Pelipper asked sympathetically.

Shroomy lifted his head from the pillow and turned to Pelipper. His beady eyes had massive tears dribbling out rapidly.

“Don’t worry, I got revenge on Phoenix.” Pelipper smiled, trying to cheer Shroomy up. Shroomy twitched in a smile but then returned to frowning and sobbing.

“It’s not that that upset me…” he said, he stared into the ceiling and got back onto his fluffy bed.

“What’s the matter then?” Pelipper asked sitting beside Shroomy.

“It’s just, I ruined the day. I burst the balloon that David paid for, I wasted David’s time, he had to ask everybody to hide, I got you wing dirty, I got myself dirty, David got a red mark, I stole Phoenix’s opponent earlier, I got Phoenix angry, I got the others lonely…” Shroomy began to list very negative things, without realising how some weren’t his fault.

“Shroomy that wasn’t your-- wait a minute!” Pelipper smiled as if a light bulb had lit up in his dark brain.

Shroomy stared puzzled at Pelipper, waiting for something to happen. Pelipper turned to Shroomy and put on a stupid face. Shroomy just stared sadly for a while but eventually chuckled at how stupid it looked. He looked towards Pelipper again, but Pelipper wasn’t there, he twisted his head all over the room and eventually saw Pelipper pecking at the wooden floor.

“I found some pie!” Pelipper laughed, Shroomy chuckled again, but louder. He looked again and saw no Pelipper, and then he looked up and saw Pelipper, with his head jammed in the leafy ceiling.
“PIE!” Pelipper shouted making Shroomy laugh, but a frown didn’t follow. Shroomy looked up again and Pelipper was still. “My head’s stuck!” he murmured from the branches that lay above.

Shroomy burst into laughter and forgot everything bad, he tugged onto Pelipper’s tail and Pelipper slammed onto the ground.

“That was so funny, thanks for cheering me up.” Shroomy rolled his head to Pelipper and put on a beamingly big smile that scared Pelipper because it was so happy.

“Don’t dis' the pie!” Pelipper joked, watching Shroomy roll on the floor in heavy laughter.

There was a bang on the door of Shroomy’s room. Shroomy stepped up to the big wooden door and tugged it open, powerfully.

“Wow, Shroomy, you’ve perked up,” David was standing at the door; he grabbed a brown hairbrush and combed his hair rapidly. “It’s bed time anyway. I’ve still gotta go tell Pelipper and Silver so no time for hugs. Wait a minute. Pelipper, what are you doing here?”

Pelipper pushed his clumsy feet onto the floor and took off towards his room; he stopped as he reached the door, and twitched his head to Shroomy, suggesting that he wanted to be with him in the night.

David rolled his eyes and his mouth stretched out straight. He slowly turned the door back, the lights flicked out, and the door slowly creaked closed.

“Psst, Pelipper thanks. I’ll ask for help if I feel upset again.” Shroomy smiled. He saw the shady figure of Pelipper nod in the light that was glowing through door’s crack. Pelipper’s figure opened his beak and Shroomy hopped in.

Their eyes slowly drooped closed as the light from the door faded into darkness.

Shroomy pulled open his eyes tiredly, the sun was shining through the fresh leaves of the ceiling and the world was once again silent. Was it a second opportunity to undo everything wrong he did yesterday? Had he blessed with another chance to put things right? Thoughts echoed throughout Shroomy’s mind, he couldn’t stand the waiting; he wanted to see the big bannette, there and then. He stamped on the floor as he dashed the door. The door flung open and Shroomy rocketed through into the hallway. He jumped into the food room and pelted to the door.

“Shroomy, where are you going?” Shroomy turned around and saw David and his other pokemon sitting at the breakfast table. Shroomy sighed and slumped onto his seat, but his eyes sprang open as he saw what he had in front of him.

“Sorry, but I had loads leftover, and you had no breakfast yesterday.” David sighed. But Shroomy wasn’t hungry; sitting in front of him was a mountain of seeds and oats, they overflowed his mahogany bowl by over double its height.

Shroomy began to crunch his teeth onto his food, but his hunger grew low and he still had loads left.

Shroomy slumped back onto his chair weakly, he heard Phoenix laughing on the other side of the breakfast table. He frowned and continued eating.

Eventually Shroomy was full and couldn’t eat anymore, he felt sick. Only one seed remained, it was a bright green one, and rolled around in the bowl creating a small echo. Shroomy couldn’t stand to have another thing in his mouth.

A sound rose up in the room. “Shroomy, Shroomy, Shroomy!” everybody was chanting apart from Phoenix who folded her arms in jealousy.

Shroomy felt the determination he needed and reached out for the final seed.

A long green vine whipped down from the ceiling and wrapped itself around the seed. The seed was pulled into the air, and a small green head peered through the ceiling, trying to eat it.

“Shroomy, it’s a grovyle, use sky-uppercut!” David shouted loudly, the small green grovyle reached out his scaly arm and pulled the seed out of the vine’s grasp.

Shroomy stood on his chair and jumped at the small creature. But after he was over a metre high, he slammed back onto the table powerfully, the food was too filling.

The grovyle reached out an arm and laughed loudly, and then it fell from the ceiling and landed beside Shroomy, who jumped onto him, squishing him into suffocation. The grovyle squirmed out from under Shroomy and swallowed the seed greedily.

Shroomy couldn’t move, the food had made him abnormally full. Phoenix knew it was time to make her comeback. She left her seat, and her fiery legs catapulted and the small grovyle. Within a split second the grovyle flew through the ceiling wrapped in a burning flame. Like a fireball it burst out, and there was a small crack of its injured body. David clapped.

“You’ve been training hard haven’t you Phoenix,” David asked. Phoenix nodded; Shroomy remembered the event which was happening later that day. “Remember, my girlfriend, Sally has challenged us to a battle, and we’re gonna win!”

Shroomy remembered how he’d been training, so hard. Sally was a breeder of pokemon, and believed in treating pokemon equally. David and his pokemon, like Shroomy, believed that this meant she couldn’t put much effort into training them. But Shroomy wasn’t quite so confident. The match was to begin in two hours, and Shroomy was in no state battle.

Shroomy felt warm spit on his shoulder; he wiped it off with a frown from the unpleasant feeling. He turned around and saw Phoenix walking past him; the room was empty, only Phoenix and Shroomy were there. Shroomy fell to the floor.

“We’re gonna lose this match,” complained Phoenix, staring at Shroomy’s upset face. “And it’ll all be your fault!”

Shroomy didn’t reply, he just cried. Whatever could he do?

So did you like that, I'd like to hear something possitive please, if you liked it that is. But no "I liked it because..." and not even say if you knew something I should improve on. I know about the slight lack of description when Pelipper is in Shroomy's room, and how it's more paragraphed at the end. Any other errors, just say the word.

If you enjoyed this fic:

The Shroomy club It was OTT to make it when the old fic sucked. But it's better now, and will hopefully see some new faces.
The old Shroomy's adventures (The bad one)
Shroomy's advenutres game (It's hard for newbies, but i'm righting up strategy guides so be patient. Don't worry, it's free of virusses. XD)

Thanks for reading. :D

EDIT: I replaced one of the words, it was a good word which I used alot. It began with 's' and ended in nig*** with an 'ed'. If you know what it was, the fic isn't as good without that word, chuckled doesn't sound right. :/

Bolded commas are uneeded.

He pushed his ways through the house and dashed to the breakfast table.
Should be 'way'.

He felt something on his neck, David was stroking him. Shroomy smiled proudly and pulled David up.
“So, let’s go for a day out!” David cheered happily.
Pelipper, Shroomy and Phoenix walked off into the distance for a fun day out.
Bolded comma should be a semicolon, and you should leave space between speech and paragraphs.

“You cleaned that didn’t you?” smiled Shroomy looking at Pelipper’s wing, which
in the sun’s rays.
You need a 'was' before sparkly.

Don’t this the pie!” Pelipper joked, watching Shroomy roll on the floor in heavy laughter.
Simply does not make sense.

Well, its an improvement, anyway. Still very basic, uninteresting description and choppy, one-line paragraphs. The humour wasn't really funny to me either, but meh. The strong point would be the characters, I guess. How mature should they be, though? Because they're like children, though at one year old, that sounds fine. The length is fine, too.

As I said, ok, but very basic writing.

Jetx

hooray, it's Jetx!
Elemantal Charizam: All typos corrected. i am very aware of the uninteresting description, I couldn't think of any better words, sorry 'bout that, I know just saying 'white' and stuff is bad. About the pie thing, it wasn't supposed to funny, Shroomy was being cheered up because pelipper was being stupid, not funny.
About the children, they're intelligent, in like... Breloom years, one is probably quite old. Shroomy is easily upset, as you know, that's pretty childish, not mature.

Thanks for reviewing though. :D
