I have been trying to catch him by doing rock smash in the safari zone for quite some time now and have still not seen a single one, could anyone give me any tips to help me find him easier

Well, I don't think there is any way to make the shuckles come out easier. Just rock smash the rocks and hope a shuckle comes out.

well, that's the only way to get get it in emerald. just keep on trying and you'll get it. i had a hard time getting it too. it's listed "rare" in it's pokedex entry in emerald.

well,i think all the Sjuckle in the Safari Zone are at level 30.
Bring a pokemon at most lv.29.
(P.S.I know,you can't use pokemon in the Safari Zone,But this works.)

But then why will you suggested it for. Its real frustrating to find one. If I smashed all the rocks I leave intill new rocks appear and just keep on doing that.

Like several people have said, simply be patient. He's found only in the one place of the one area, and by only one means (Rock Smash), with the one requirement of beating the Elite Four, so when it's that specific all you can do is be patient. They take a lot of time to find and capture, but lucky for me I caught mine fairly quickly, so quick that I thought they were common.

just keep trying rock smash, trust me there worth it I have TWO lv100 shuckles and they really come in handy.

I've caught three or four shuckles in the safari zone. i guess that i'm just lucky. in my opinion, shuckles are great, they are hard to beat and can learn really great moves.;213;
