Sig rules- animations

So the limit is 500kb, right?
Is the definition of kb 1,024 bytes, or 1,000 bytes? Because my sig was edited for having an about 492 kb/500300 animation.

It is what the Properties / File Info says on the computer. And that's TOTAL sig size, not just animation. If your animation is pushing 500, then all your iamges are included in that total too.

For example:

Your animation = 476kbs
Banner = 28k
Image = 36k

Total = 540k

Sig = Breaking Rules

Large Animated GIFs, approximatly 500k or above, will also be removed. This includes those Rip-Offs from Anime which are very common in signatures. This also means that a total amount of animated gifs cannot reach over 500kbs. If you are unsure, find out the file size of each gif and add them together. If it's over 500, then it's too much.
Doesn't say anything about including non-animated images in the sig rules....

You're right. I shall go correct that now. Thanks for pointig that out, after I edit the sig rules, your sig will be breaking them. This isn't to spite you, but a sig over 500kbs takes as long to load as a gif over 500kbs. Quite simple when you consider it.

*runs to edit sig*
Uh, thanks I guess. I never said they would have different load times, but just said that the rules didn't point that out.
