Rules:
1. You may not behave in a God-Like or Immortal manner. You are human in this RPG, and as such, should act like it.
2. You may not control other people’s characters without permission, this extends to their pokemon as well. You can have your character tell their pokemon what to do, but they get to decide if it does it or not.
3. Do not Flame/Harass/Degrade other players… I will give you a warning, kick you out, and/or report you based on the severity of what happened.
4. Do not FIND ITEMS without me telling you they are there, this is to help keep things under control.
5. Do not let your pokemon out in the otherworld without ending your post there, and waiting for me to tell you what your pokemon looks like in this world, and how it is behaving.
6. Please put your name at the top of your post and list your pokemon and inventory at the bottom. This is IMPORTANT.

So, let’s start this thing:

We open on a dismal scene; the empty town of Floaroma. The streets a buildings are devoid of humans and pokemon. There’s no one behind the counter at the poke center, no one monitoring the power plant, or manning the hotel’s admittance desk. In fact, and you many not have found them yet, there are only 5 other people in town. It’s not good.

The cheery summer days have been abruptly disturbed by an unseasonable frost. It clings to the windows like a tick on a dog. The town’s crops and flowers have wilted, even the trees seem to shiver, and the grass crunches beneath your feet. The frost extends as far as you can see, which isn’t very far given the strange fog that has rolled in. It’s sort of gray and ominous looking. Through the fog fall the small flakes of powder type snow. (For those of you in warm climates, that’s a dry snow that’s not much good for making snowmen and usually falls in smaller quantities.) It’s not good.

The lake is rimmed with ice, only the center is still liquid. The bridge that crosses the lake leading towards the next town seems to have undergone a strange transformation, if you try to cross it you find yourself back where you started. The tunnel that leads out of town the other was is frozen over with epic icicles. It’s just not good.

From somewhere deep in the city, there comes a guttural moan. It’s the sort of sound you’ve only ever heard from horror movies, only different. This sound, it sounds too real, just too freaking real. It’s not good, it’s just not good, it’s just not good. Not good at all.

~:* Lexi LaClure *:~

Lexi jolted awake to the sound of her Chatot alarm clock screeching, “Wake up! Wake Up! Get out of Bed! Wake up! Wake Up! Get out of Bed! Wake up! Wake Up! Get ou-“she hit the plastic bird square on its beak. “I really got to get a new alarm clock,”she muttered as she slowly pealed herself out of her warm soft bed.

Hugging herself tightly, she walked over to the window; it was colder than a normal summer morning should be. That was one reason why liked Floraroma Town – it was warm all year round so she never had to worry about being cold. Lexi pulled back the green polka-dot curtain, to find that a layer of frost covered the window. She touched the glass, and quickly pulled her fingers away; the glass was colder than ice. She pulled the sleeve of her pajama top over her hand and rubbed clear a spot in the window so she could look out.

Lexi peered out of the second story window of her house, expecting to see people walking through the town, smiling and laughing, like she did every morning, except there was no one. The street was completely disserted. Lexi quickly looked across the street, all the houses that would normally have light shining through the windows, were dark. “Where is everybody? It’s like they got up and left without telling me. Maybe they’re just staying inside because of the cold…but wait, its summer, it shouldn’t be cold, we don’t even get this cold in the winter!” She took a step back from the window; the cold was already seeping through into the warm cozy house. Lexi closed the curtain, and walked over to the thermostat on the wall, it read 66°F. No wonder she was cold, she turned it up to 78°, then went into the bathroom to take a shower.

Forty-five minutes later Lexi was showered and dressed, and in the kitchen making breakfast. She poured herself a cup of coffee, and cracked two eggs into the frying pan. As they cooked, she poured three bowls of poke-chow and released her three pokémon. “Moring guys, breakfast is ready so dig in.” Her Roserade, Razor, ran straight to his bowl of Poke chow, while her Shaymin, Shay, first gave a big yawn then slowly waddled over to her bowl. Her Castform, Cloud, floated over to Lexi and plopped himself on top of her head. Cloud saw the frost covering a window and transformed in to his Snowy Form which consists of his head turning purple and his body becoming a wispy green swirl. She picked him up and put him on the ground next to his bowl, then turned back to her eggs.

A few minutes later Lexi was getting ready to go to the Flower Shop where she worked. She grabbed a black jacket out of her coat closet and put it on. She didn’t want to freeze to death walking to the shop. Instead of keeping them out and also freezing, she had returned her pokémon to their pokeballs. She opened the door and was greeted by a gust of icy wind. She shivered, and was glad she had decided to wear the jacket. “Again I ask why it is so frickin’ cold? Its summer for crying out loud!” she ranted to herself as she quickly closed and locked the door behind her.

She was going to take her bike, but the handle bars were too cold to even touch, so she started walking. She could hear the sound of dead grass crunch beneath her feet. Looking around, she noticed that the flowers and plants that colored the town were now brown and wilted. The trees shivered with every gust of wind, and a light powder was falling from the sky, covering everything including Lexi’s head with a layer of cold white. A strange fog was covering had blanketed the town, as far as Lexi could see, which given it being as thick as pea soup, was not very far. Lexi suddenly stopped walking; she heard a faint, but steady sound coming from somewhere in the middle of the city. It was deep, almost like a moan. A guttural moan, one a monster from horror movie would make. Only this sounded too…too real. It sounded too different, too omniscient not to be real. This was not good, not good at all. A cold wind blew from behind her sending a chill through her body. She wanted to go back to her warm house and go back to sleep, but she knew she couldn’t. Another icy wind blew from behind her; Lexi shivered and trudged on through the snow and fog toward the Pick a Peck of Colors Flower shop.

Luci woke up and opened her eyes. She lay still for a few moments, trying to remember where she was. Then she realised: Floaroma Town. She smiled and sat up, rubbing her eyes. Floaroma Town was one of her favourite towns to visit on her travels, due to the large diversity of flowers and plants. She blinked, looking round the hotel room. It wasn't very attractive - just about four walls and a roof, with a small bed with grey covers in which she was currently sitting wedged in the corner. There was just about enough space to put her things in the opposite corner of the room. There were two doors in the room: One leading to the hallways and one to a quite shabby en-suite bathroom. But Luci didn't mind: She wasn't rich enough to be spending all her nights in five star hotels. Giving one last yawn, she climbed out of bed and went to take a shower.

As she exited the bathroom, having just brushed her teeth, she went over to her backpack and selected a plain pink t-shirt with a pink and purple striped skirt. After getting dressed, she openend the curtains. What she saw was not what she'd expected at all. The sky was a dull grey colour, and frost clung to the window frame. From what she could see through the misty window, most of the plant-life she loved was shrivelled and dead, including the grass. Her eyes narrowed slightly; what was going on? She sighed, knowing she couldn't investigate anything without eating something. She made her way down to the breakfast bar, a thousand questions in her mind.

When she got to the breakfast bar she found: nothing. No people, no food had been prepared. She shivered. Was this some kind of joke? If so, this whole town had a really twisted sense of humour. Quickly going back to her room to get her Pokemon, she walked outside into the frost.

It was as cold as it looked, that was for sure. Luci still had no idea what was going on. Suddenly, she heard an odd groan that sent a shiver down her spine. Was this part of the joke? Luci grabbed a Pokeball: her Kadabra, Earth. She sent him out. Earth looked around, evidently as confused as Luci was.
"Earth," Luci began, "I know this is weird, but we need to look for some other people, okay?"
Earth nodded after a brief pause. It closed its eyes for about thirty seconds. Luci's head began to ache slightly; like it always did when Earth used its odd psychic abilities. As her headache faded, Earth opened its eyes and pointed down a road Luci knew led to the local flower-shop. Luci had never really bothered with it; she preferred wild-flowers to the ones they usually sold in shops. Still, if there really was someone there...
"Thanks, Earth." She smiled, returning the Pokemon. Then she set off for the flower shop.

The snow starts to fall a bit harder, and a brief chilly wind whips through the area around the flower shop showering both girls and the Kadabra with icy shrapnel. Another moan comes from deep within the heart of the city. It’s not as loud or defined as the first one, but it’s definitely just as strange a sound and still quite disturbing to hear.

The door to the flower shop appears to be frozen shut under a sheet of ice, two inches thick . The front window is frozen over in the same manner, though the other entrances into the building may be passable. The small exterior lights to either side of the door flicker dimly, but do not yet go out. And there’s a scrap of paper wedged up behind one of them.

The wind has died back down, but the snow continues to pour down like it‘s got a personal vendetta to settle with the town. A rusty creak emits from some distance point, the sound of a schoolyard gate or a truck too old to be driven. A faint sound follows, a dim echo of a sound really. Children laughing? A pokemon’s cry? It’s hard to tell, it’s just so very faint a sound.

(Ninetailed) How odd, the Pick a Peck of Colors Flower shop’s front door seems to be frozen shut. Do you have a plan B?

(Roseheart95) Please reread the rules, you need to put your name and inventory in there proper places please. And you should read the note I wrote to Ninetailed.

Hotel Floaroma

Valeria slowly stretched and smiled. Today was the day of her big shop! At 9am she was going to go to the Pick a Peck of Colours Flower Shop and buy some lovely flowers for the Chief, and then visit the farm, possibly after that have lunch... It was going to be so fresh and exciting!... If a bit chilly? How odd. Yesterday it was quite hot, and in the guidebook it said nothing of yo-yoing temperatures... But no matter!

Valeria hopped out of bed, displaying her lovely green Shaymin-themed pyjamas, and went about her daily business- brushing her teeth, showering, changing into her summery clothes, although now adding a denim jacket- and then opened the curtains. She was met with quite the sight- the town was covered with virgin snow! A smile began to form on her lips, but it rapidly faded. Where were the children, dancing around in the cold? Snowmen, fairies, gaiety... nothing?

She rolled her eyes and sighed. Floaroma was pretty... backwards compared to Hearthome. Maybe the people here were frightened of snow, or something. Wouldn't surprise her. Grabbing her dark blue messenger bag off of the sidetable, she placed in there her lunch, encyclopaedia, and all of her other belongings, apart from clothing, which she left in the cabinet, and opened the door, into the corridor.

It was dreadfully nippy around her ankles- there was an odd fog circling at foot level, freezing to the bone. And it was silent. Silent as the grave, but bad puns really weren't for this time. She carefully made her way down the stairs, feeling for the handrail, and found herself back at the reception desk, where she had checked in the previous day. Only there was no sarcastic receptionist, no staff. The fog appeared to be seeping in through the automatic doors, which had been left open.

Valeria looked around. Not much terrified her- being on the force does that. This wasn't scary, not right at this moment. Just incredibly odd. But then something that terrified her did. A scary moan, from somewhere. Maybe the top floor of the hotel? She hoped not, but she could hear padding footsteps, and steeled herself, wandering out onto the street, deciding there was no point in staying.

Normally, silence would have been a blessing for Valeria- but today, it was terrifying. The beautiful town of Floaroma she had arrived at yesterday? It had become some sort of wintery hell.

~ Dan Lawson - Hotel Floaroma ~

Dan woke up groggily. He looked around, a bit confused at the lighting. It was dim in his room, uncharacteristically so for a summer morning. He quickly checked the clock on his stand, thinking at first that he had simply woken up early. However, the clock was accurate, he had even slept through his alarm. But if the clock was right, then why was it so dark in here?

Dan yawned and hesitantly left his bed. He made his way over to the window where he pulled the curtains all the way back from their halfway open position. The window was covered in ice and frost, and it was difficult to see outside. He reached his hand out to try and wipe some of the frost off and pulled his hand back quick, suddenly fully awake. The glass was freezing to the touch, probably one of the coldest things he had ever touched.

"Did someone let their Glaceon run wild or something?" Dan said to himself. He used the tail of his t-shirt to cover his hand as he wiped enough of the frost off to give him a clear view of the outside. The town was frozen and deserted. He couldn't see anyone outside, and the flowers and plants that had given the town its name were dead and covered in a layer of snow and frost. "More like a whole pack of Glaceon, or an Articuno." Dan said to himself again, "What the heck happened to the town?"

He walked back over to his shelf, where his two pokeballs lay, one a normal pokeball, the other a dusk ball. He opened the two and released his two pokemon, Loony and Tesla. Tesla, a Magnemite, gave a groggy series of beeps and metallic sounds as he woke up, while Loony just stared at Dan, the little ghostly balloon already awake.

"Morning guys." Dan said to the two.

Tesla gave a spin of his magnets and replied with a cheery chime. Loony blinked and gave a low hum. It the most sound the little guy usually made.

"Something weird is going on outside, but I figure we can eat first and try to figure it out later. No use running outside in the cold on an empty stomach." Dan said. He headed over towards the little mini-kitchen area, complete with mini-fridge and microwave. As soon as his bare foot touched the linoleum floor of the kitchen area, he immediately pulled it back. The floor here was ice-cold as well.

"What the..." Dan said. "So the cold's not just outside then is it?" Which was strange, it was a little chilly, but it really wasn't cold in here...

He turned to Tesla, who was currently juicing up a bit from the electricity provided by the wall outlet. Loony, who ate maybe once a day at most, was busy spinning around by the window.

"Alright guys, we need to find out what's going on. I'll just grab a muffin or something from the bar on the way out." Dan said. He proceeded to get changed into his usual outfit, his Valley Windworks shirt under a green jacket, witch he zipped up in preparation for going outside. He grabbed his things, recalled his two pokemon, and headed out, the automatic lock on the door clicking shut behind him.

He was walking down the second floor hallway when he heard the moan. It was a low, inhuman sound, like something from a monster movie. That sound that would play right before the first victim got dragged off into the dark, screaming...

He shook his head, clearing away those thoughts. It wouldn't help him right now to get lost in crazy stuff like that. Right now, he needed to figure out what was going on. He increased his pace, running down the hall, his footsteps echoing in the quiet air.

He made his way down to the first floor to find that it was deserted. The breakfast bar was barren, and the front desk stood empty. Before he had a chance to think about what that meant, he caught a bit of movement in the corner of his eye. Turning, he saw a figure disappear out into the streets outside.

He pulled his jacket a little tighter and headed out into the snow, wanting to catch up with this person. Luckily they hadn't been a figment of his imagination. He could see the person a little ahead on the street. He rushed to catch up, but the chilling wind and snow was making the effort a lot more taxing than it should have been. Finally, he managed to catch up to the person, who he could now see was a woman.

"Hey," he said trying to get her attention, "do you know what's going on here or are you just as confused as I am?"

~:* Lexi LaClure *:~

Lexi quickened her pace, the Flower shop was now in her sights. The wind had begun to die down, but the snow had taken that as a reason to start falling even heavier. One last sharp wind blew as Lexi reached the front door of the shop, covering her with a blanket of snow and icy shrapnel. She starts to shake off the snow, when suddenly, another moan, not as loud or as clear as the first, but still real and still eerie, sounds from somewhere in the distance.

She shrugs it off and reaches for the door handle but she can’t grab it. She bends down to find the door sealed shut under a two inch thick layer of ice; she looks at the front window to see it has suffered the same fate. “Dang…Well maybe the side door is still enterable.” She steps off the front stoop, when a small gust of winds causes something to catch her eye; a piece of paper wedged behind one of the front lanterns on either side of the door. She manages to tug it free, and just as she is about to open it, a rusty creak emits from some somewhere in the distance. It sounds like the school gate swinging freely in the wind, or Old Farmer Keith’s truck, most people say the truck is even older than Old Farmer Keith himself. But that’s not what gave Lexi the chills; it was the sound that followed it. Not really a sound, but more of a faint echo. Maybe it’s children laughing and playing in the snow? Or maybe a Pokémon crying out for help? It’s hard to tell, it’s just so very faint… Whatever it was she wasn’t sticking around to find out, she stuck the piece of paper into her jacket pocket and walked around to the side of the building.

After a few minutes she was inside the flower shop. She took a deep breath and smelt all the beautiful flowers that she loved, being inside the shop they were still alive and doing well. She took off her jacket and hung it on one of the wooden pegs by the front door, and placed her bag on the floor underneath it. She was used to being the first one to the shop in the morning, so she started going about her normal routine; she turned on the lights, and the heater, and soon the shop was a glow with color, light, and warmth. She released her pokémon, and they started their normal routines also; Razor and Shay started to tend to all the plants, while Cloud, still in his Snowy form, floated around the shop. “Cloud” Lexi called as she tied her green apron around her waist, “Could you go outside, to the front of the store and if anybody shows up, lead them around to the side door.” “Caaast” Cloud answered and flew over to the side door, which Razor opened, and quickly shut behind him. Since Cloud was still in his snowy form he would be able to stand the cold weather.

Lexi walked to the break room, which had a small kitchen in it, and made some Hot Chocolate, figuring that if anybody did come in they would want to warm up, and fast. So after pouring herself a cup, she put the rest in to a silver thermos, and brought it out to the front of the store. She set it up along with a stack of paper cups on the front counter. Lexi took a sip form her own cup and looked out the window to see Cloud and, what else, more snow. The heat had begun to melt the ice outside, so that light from the store shone through the window, but the door was still frozen solid.

Lexi set her cup on the counter next to the cash register, “Now let’s have a look at that paper.” She went over to her jacket and fished the paper out of her pocket. She went back to the counter, and sat down on the stool behind it. She slowly unfolded the paper, when suddenly…

((Roseheart95: I was thinking that you could find the flower shop, and see light coming from the window. Once you get closer Cloud spots you, and coaxes you to the side door and you enter the shop just as Lexi was about to read the paper.))

((VampirateMace: What the heck is supposed to be written on the paper anyway??))

***Luci Gray***

Luci trudged through the powdery snow, Earth, her Kadabra, at her side. She shivered, and stopped to unzip her bag. She pulled out a dark blue raincoat that she carried around with her for times like these. She wrapped it around herself.

"You warm enough?" She asked Earth. Earth just shrugged, a sign Luci took as a yes.
Just then, the wind picked up, showering Luci and Earth with a large amount of powdery snow. Luci shivered. Wasn't it meant to be always warm here? How else would the flowers survive? She carried on, to the Flowershop. They'd probably know something about this, if anyone did. Then, she heard another faint moan. It was quieter than the other, but it still gave her the creeps.
"Earth," she began, "can you tell what that is?"
Earth closed his eyes for a moment. Luci's head began to ache again. After a while, it got worse, until it was a piercing pain.
"Ow! Stop!" She cried out. Earth instantly opened his eyes, and looked at her apologetically.
"Okay, I guess you couldn't figure it out, then..."

She sighed. This was unlike anything she had ever experienced. In fact, she found it even a bit exciting. Then she looked up: there was the flowershop! She quickened her pace, but stopped with her foot in mid-air as she heard an eerie creek. She trembled slightly: what was that? She stood still, listening. After what seemed like forever, but in reality may only have been a few seconds, she walked on.

As she approached the flowershop, she saw a light inside. Her heartbeat quickened: could there be someone else inside? But, to her dismay, as she reached the door, she realised it was completely frozen over, as was the window. She kicked the door in frustration, only to wince as her foot began to throb with pain.
"Urgh! What kind of a crazy town is this?!"
"Kadabra!" Earth called to get her attention.
She turned and saw a Pokemon she had never seen before.
"Wow! A Pokemon! What is it?" She whipped out her Pokedex.
"Castform, the weather Pokemon." The Pokedex informed her. "This Pokemon can change its cells, taking different forms based on the temperature and humidity."
Luci looked up at the Pokemon, weary as to what it was doing here.
"Casst!" It cried, moving round the side of the building.
"Hey! Where are you going?" Luci followed it, Earth by her side.

As she caught up with it, she saw it floating next to a side-door, completely free of ice. She looked at it, over-joyed.
"Oh my gosh, thanks so much! Is there someone in there?" But she didn't wait for an answer, she just burst through the door to see a pretty girl around her age about to fold open a piece of paper...

Lexi set her cup on the counter next to the cash register, “Now let’s have a look at that paper.” She went over to her jacket and fished the paper out of her pocket. She went back to the counter, and sat down on the stool behind it. She slowly unfolded the paper when suddenly; the side door to the shop burst open and in walked a girl about Lexi’s age. She was about the same height as Lexi, maybe a bit shorter, and had beautiful sandy-brown wavy hair, and wore a plain pink t-shirt, blue rain coat, pink and purple striped skirt, and white shoes. A Kadabra was standing faithfully by her side.

Lexi looked from the girl to the piece of paper in her hands; she quickly folded the paper and stuffed it into the front pocket of her apron. She stood up and went over to the girl,”Come in, come in you must be freezing,” she said. And she closed the door behind the girl. “Here let me take your coat,” she said, and helped the girl out of her coat and hung it on a peg next to her own jacket. “Would you like some Hot Chocolate?” She asked smiling and walked the girl over to the counter. She poured her a cup, “Here you go. This weather is…very unusual for this time of year so, please, stay as long as you want.” She glanced down at the Kadabra still at the girl’s side, “Razor could you take her Kadabra to the break room and get him some food please.” Razor appeared from behind a tall plant. “Roserade,” he said and beckoned for the yellow pokémon to follow him.

Lexi leaned back against the counter, “If you have any other pokémon your welcome to let them out.” She said, and waited for the girl to release any of her other pokémon. She glanced out the window to see Cloud back at his post. Then she picked up her own cup of Hot Chocolate, took a sip, and said, “I’m Lexi by the way, Lexi LaClure.”

((RoseHeart95: Maybe you could have Luci realize, that Lexi must be the same Lexi LaClure form the LaClure Perfumery? Just so the girls have something to talk about, and who knows, maybe Lexi will even show Luci her new Perfume. Oh and if you bring up the fact that Luci is staying at the Hotel, Lexi may just offer her one of the many spare rooms in her house she’s been meaning to rent out. :) Then could you bring up the weird sounds Luci heard on the way there.))

((Wordy & TheSequelReturns: Do you guys maybe want to also come to the flower shop? And, once we all have some Hot Chocolate, we realize that we all heard the same eerie noises, and we decided to investigate? You could also mention the fact that you’re staying at the Hotel too, and you need a cheap place to stay, preferably one that not’s completely deserted? ))

(Ninetailed) I never said anything was written on the paper…

lol… actually the paper looks like it was ripped out of a notebook or diary, and it says, “I don‘t know what is going on, somebody find me, please find me…”

As soon as you’ve read those words, the walls began to weather changing into a rusty corroded horror land with blood smeared across them. After several dizzying moments Luci and Lexi (And anyone else who has joined them) will find themselves alone in the Rusty Otherworld. All their pokemon appear to have returned to their poke balls, perhaps sensing the danger. The flowers are all dead, and appear to have been dead for decades. A horrible shrieking comes from just beyond the side door.

Everyone else is to carry on in the fog world as though nothing has changed… dun, dun, dun! Yes, I’ve split the group up already, yay me!

-Valeria Jones-
Hotel Floaroma Entrance Gardens

Valeria stood there, wreathed by the wind and snow, like some sort of angel. She looked confusedly around at the barren landscape- a desert of ice. Suddenly, a crash from a nearby flower shop. Valeria instantly turned to the brightly-coloured building, just to see nothing there, with the sidedoor swinging forlornly. She sighed and smiled. This was all making her incredibly jittery. If only there were a logical explanation... but there wasn't, and that was the problem.

There was the sound of movement, crunching in the snow behind her, and Valeria whipped around to see a rather forlorn-looking young man, looking just as worried as she (probably) was. He didn't seem to see her for several moments, but straining over the furious blizzard she managed to hear words- "Do you know what's going on here or are you just as confused as I am?" Or at least, that's what it sounded like. For all she knew he could've really said that he wanted to kill her- but optimism should really win out over paranoia, surely?

Valeria smiled and tried to open her eyes wider, just to close them into slits again as the cold seemingly froze her eyeballs. Her mother's Snorunt used to do that... was Mother OK? In this strange atmosphere, it was hard to believe that her real life ever existed? Was she really a Detective-Inspector? It said DI on her desk, but was it all just a dream? No, physical evidence suggested that it was all real. She shook these rebelling thoughts from her head. Time to focus on this man (man? Seemed more like a boy, but...)

Valeria cautiously approached him, keeping one hand in her bag for her Pokéballs, just to jump a few feet in the air as she heard a creaking gate. Then, laughter drifted softly towards her ears, making her feel slightly more nervous. Were there evil beings in the Flower Shop? Ha ha. Evil beings. No no. They don't exist. Nightmares, DNA mutants, illusions- everything has a physical equivalent. Surely there was a malicious Darkrai, or something.

"Hello!" she waved from where she was standing to the sole lifeform on the horizon, "I am not really sure about what we are doing here, no. Shall we see if we can get help from Jubilife City? There's a tunnel called the Ravaged Path! By the way, please tell me who you are. You're the first person I've actually seen here," she smiled in (what she hoped was) a friendly way.

***Luci Gray***

Luci stood still, stunned that she had actually managed to find anyone else out here. She closed her mouth, having only just realised it was still open. Maybe if she'd actually expected to find anyone in the eerie emptiness of the town, she would've taken a different coat that actually went with her outfit. Whatever the girl was reading was either secret, or not important enough to continue with. She stuffed the note into her pocket and walked over to Luci.
"Come in, come in, you must be freezing." The girl said, and closed the door behind Luci. "Here, let me take your coat."
The girl took Luci's coat and hung it next to a jacket Luci presumed belonged to the girl. Luci remained silent, too stunned to speak; why was this girl bothering with formalities? Was this atmostphere normal for Floaroma Town? Luci had never experienced anything like it here before...
"Would you like some hot chocolate?" The girl interupted her thoughts. Luci followed her to the counter as she began pouring her some hot chocolate.
"Here you go," the girl said, pushing the mug towards her. "This weather is... very unusual for this time of year so, please, stay as long as you want."
Luci exchanged a glance with Earth. Was this girl not even scared?
"Razor could you take her Kadabra to the break room and get him some food please?" The girl asked a Roserade near a plant which Luci only just noticed, and was sure hadn't been there before.
"Roserade." The Pokemon beckoned to her Kadabra, who followed her after a nod from Luci.
"If you have any other Pokémon your welcome to let them out." The girl told Luci.
Luci realised her other Pokemon probably didn't know anything of what was going on. She nodded, taking two Pokeballs from her belt and releasing a Pikachu with red and brown butterfly-like markings round her eyes and a Weezing slightly darker than most.
"Butterfly, Violet," she told them, "I know it's cold... and all this is a little weird... but, trust me, I don't know what's going on either, and I'm trying to find out..."
The girl turned back to Luci, hot chocolate in hand.
"I'm Lexi by the way, Lexi LaClure." She told her.
"I'm Luci Grey." Luci told her. Lexi's name rang a bell, but she was too confused to bother with why. "I'm from Veilstone, and I liked exploring... so I'm staying in the Floaroma Hotel. I've been here before, but I've never seen it like this... and then Earth, my Kadabra, sensed someone was here, in the flower shop..." Luci stopped, as she made the connection. "Wait... you're Lexi LaClure? Like, Lexi LaClure from the LaClure Perfumery?"
Luci had never really bothered with perfume, but her sister, Lila, loved it, LaClure being a particular favourite. Hey, who knew, if this was THE Lexi LaClure, maybe Luci could figure out what was going on, and get her sister a gift...

Lexi leaned back against the counter, “If you have any other pokémon your welcome to let them out.” She said, and waited for the girl to release her other pokémon. The girl nodded, taking two Pokeballs from her belt and releasing a Pikachu with red and brown butterfly-like markings round her eyes and a Weezing slightly darker than most. "Butterfly, Violet," she told them, "I know it's cold... and all this is a little weird... but, trust me, I don't know what's going on either, and I'm trying to find out..." Lexi picked up her own cup of Hot Chocolate, took a sip, and said, “I’m Lexi, Lexi LaClure.”

"I'm Luci Grey." Luci told her. "I'm from Veilstone, and I liked exploring... so I'm staying in the Floraroma Hotel. I've been here before, but I've never seen it like this... and then Earth, my Kadabra, sensed someone was here, in the flower shop..." Luci stopped, as she made the connection. "Wait... you're Lexi LaClure? Like, Lexi LaClure from the LaClure Perfumery?"

Lexi smiled, she didn’t know she was so popular that a girl from Veilstone would know who she was. “Yes I‘m that Lexi LaClure. I work here; at the Flower Shop, to get all the flowers and Berries for my line of Fragrances…In fact I have a bottle of my newest scent in my bag.” She set her cup on the counter and went over to her bag. She pulled out a small pink jar in the shape of a Cherubi; it contained the newest scent in her line: Floral Radiance.

She walked back over to Luci. “It called Floral Radiance, it hasn’t hit the markets yet so it’s the only one of its kind.” She looked at the bottle then to Luci. “Would you like to sample it?” she asked, and she sprayed a little on Luci’s wrist.

Lexi had been caring it around for a few days; she had a tradition where she always gives the first bottler of a new perfume away for free before it hits the markets. Luci seemed like a rather girlie girl, and she must get hot and sweaty from all the exploring she does, she might like to get a free bottle of perfume. “You know, Luci I have a tradition, where I give away the first bottle of a new scent for free…I was wondering do you maybe want it?” She held out the bottle to Luci, and even if she didn’t want it, maybe she has a friend who would. As long as someone would be able to enjoy her perfume, she would be glad she gave Luci the bottle.

After Luci did want she wanted with the bottle, Razor came back out with, Earth in tow. Lexi looked back out the window; the snow was still falling heavily, and Cloud had come back inside the shop. She turned back to Luci and wondered if she had heard the same weird sounds Lexi had heard on her way here? “Hey Luci, by any chance did you hear a sort of…moaning on your way here?”

((OCC: In my next post I’ll have Lexi read the piece of paper and all the weird things will happen to the flower shop.))

Faithful Crusader
- Dan Lawson -

"Hello!" the woman said with a wave, "I am not really sure about what we are doing here, no. Shall we see if we can get help from Jubilife City? There's a tunnel called the Ravaged Path! By the way, please tell me who you are. You're the first person I've actually seen here." She seemed to be smiling, but with the snow, it was hard to tell.

Dan waited until he got closer before continuing. "My name's Dan, I work at the Valley Windworks, or rather I hope to. Right now I'm just an intern."

He made his way a little closer, this snow and wind was starting to get to him, and he wanted to make sure that she could hear him clearly as well as see his face.

"And Jubilife City seems like a good idea. I have no idea what's causing this change in weather, so maybe we can get some information there." Dan said with a bit of a nod.

She seemed to be a nice enough lady, hopefully she was someone he could trust. Right now though, he was willing to trust pretty much anyone who came along, seeing as how as she had said about him, she was the only person he could find in this town so far. He offered his hand for a handshake, unsure if she would return the favor.

"Its nice to meet you, and you are?" he said.

Valeria Jones
Hotel Floaroma Entrance

"Detective-Inspector Valeria Jones, Hearthome CID," replied Valeria, in a dramatic way. She had seen all those television programs, with their flair for making police procedurals seem exciting. Hopefully, this lad wouldn't be convinced that the police force was dull or pedestrian.

She took the hand firmly, and shook it boldly. Her grandmother had once said, 'Valeria, my darling, always look at a man by his handshake. If it's limp and weak, get outta there, but if he seems to have spark, you may have found the one. Valeria's grandmother read too many cheesy Mills & Boon novels for anybody's liking- her bookshelf was plastered with them.

After continuing her fake grin for several more moments after the pleasing handshake, Valeria dismissed herself with a sigh and began to march in what she hoped was the direction of the way out. It was so chilly that she did not want to wait around any longer, not even to talk to the last man alive. (They wouldn't have to...? No. It was just some localized thing.)

She looked back, and yelled, "You coming or what?"

Internet Overlord
The ravaged path is surrounded by thick columns of ice. It’s very dark inside, to dark to see that the path is completely blocked once you get inside. Yes, you are trapped, like rats… or rather… no… like rats. It’s also to dark to see the double-head houndoom inside. However you can hear it’s growls and occasionally it sends out small burst of bluish flame, which flash through the dark cave. Though not long enough to show the depth of the cave, the blue sparks defiantly say that something is wrong in the cave. Perhaps you should turn back now before it’s too late.

By the way, there’s a crowbar on the ground inside the cave, it seems someone else was trying knock through the ice to escape? Wonder where they went? The crowbar is damp, but it’s to dark to tell if it’s water or something else.

Valeria Jones
-Ravaged Path-

Valeria shuddered as she approached the Ravaged Path. It was so chilly and frozen. Where had everybody ran off to? Maybe when they reached Jubilife, everybody would be there. Some elaborate April Fools... in July. Yes, maybe April Fools was in July. These people were backwards, after all. The lad was nice, maybe a bit on the dim side... But what could one do? Maybe first impressions were misleading.

She came to a rapid halt as she realized that the cave was surrounded by some elaborate architecture- no, ice. How could the ice have frozen in such shapes, like columns holding the cave in position? Why was there a miniscule blue light flickering for seconds, then going out, like the attack of some Fire-type? She rolled her eyes. Hyperactive Hidden Power Abra. There was always a logical explanation- no need for theatrics, nor smoke and mirrors.

She edged into the cave. Why was she so nervous? She could see the blue flicker again, but in the cold cave it seemed almost... like some sort of spirit flame. Will-o-wisps, were they called? Or foxfire. Something silly and unclear. Maybe she shouldn't go any further. Wait for that nice young man. Yes. She backed up, just to lose her balance on some metal pole on the ground.

Crouching down to take a closer look, she noted it was a crowbar, covered in... what? She gingerly held it by the very end and brought it closer to her eyes. Some sort of liquid, but in the cave's eerie light, it was impossible to tell. Probably water from a melted icicle. She held it more firmly in her grip and squinted. Still nothing. Maybe she had mistaken the blue light. Nope, there it was again. She winced and decided to stay put. Maybe that Windworks boy had an explanation.

The girl smiled. Must be Luci thought, before the girl answered her:
“Yes I‘m that Lexi LaClure. I work here; at the Flower Shop, to get all the flowers and Berries for my line of Fragrances…In fact I have a bottle of my newest scent in my bag.” Luci watched as the girl moved towards a bag and pulled out a Cherubi shaped jar. Cute... Luci thought, knowing her sister would definitely love something like that. Perfume and cute Pokemon, preferrably pink. That was her sister.

“It called Floral Radiance, it hasn’t hit the markets yet so it’s the only one of its kind.” Lexi looked at the bottle and then looked up. “Would you like to sample it?” Lexi sprayed the perfume on Luci's wrist. Luci took a sniff. It was definitely something her sister would go for: and not so much her. Maybe Lexi was selling it...

“You know, Luci I have a tradition, where I give away the first bottle of a new scent for free…I was wondering do you maybe want it?” Lexi held the bottle out.
"Really?" Luci asked. "Thanks! I do like it, y'know. That said, I don't really wear perfume... but I'm sure my sister'll love it, especially if she's the first to have it."

Just then, Lexi's Roserade came back with Earth. The Castform was back too, and Luci continued to marvel at it. She hadn't seen anything before like it. Lexi interupted her thoughts.
“Hey Luci, by any chance did you hear a sort of…moaning on your way here?”

"A moaning?" Luci echoed. "Yeah! Yeah, I did... two, actually, they kinda creeped me out... it was like nothing I'd heard before, either. I'm not sure Earth knew what it was either." Butterfly edged closer to Luci, staring at the Castform wide-eyed while Violet went over to examine it. Luci's Pokemon were just as curious as she was, it seemed. "Hey..." Luci began again. "I know it's not any of my business... but that paper you had eariler? What was that? It's just I haven't seen anyone in this town today except you... and it's kind of spooky, y'know?"
