Silver leaf?

I got a silver leaf off a Magneton I traded in from Red version. The discription is "A strange, silver-colored leaf". But what the heck does it do exactly?

Nothing. The only thing you can do with it is sell it or keep it as a novelty. Many Pokemon from RBY traded back hold Gold/Silver Leaves

Just sell 'em, you'll get some money. the only thing you cann do with it

Think of them as nuggets. All you can do is sell them for money, and besides that there is completely no use for them.

I wish they worked as well as nuggets in terms of the amount of money they can get you. How much can you sell those things for anyways?

I never knew about those Silver Leaves! All this time and no Silver Leaf... well i rarely traded any pokémon from Blue/Yellow

The following are items in G/S/C which can be sold for high prices, obtained mostly through traded Pokémon from the first generation or wild Pokémon holding the itme:

Big Mushroom
Tiny Mushroom
Big Pearl
Pearl
Gold Leaf
Silver Leaf
Stardust
Star Piece
Brick Piece

Other ietms you can sell include the famous Nugget and the not-so-famous Slowpoketail.


These can all be sold for high prices, varying on what item it is. Also, keep in mind that obviously with Big Mushroom will sell better than the Tiny Mushroom, the Gold Leaf is worth more than the Silver Leaf and so on.

The only way to get a Slowpoketail is to buy one from the Rocket Store in Mahogany, before it closes. It costs P9800, which sells for P4900 -- thus, it's not a worthwhile buy. It's fun to get for novelty value though (like, attach it to a Shellder and trade to a friend).
