Sixth Gym

I usually play emerald but recently bought the Fire Red version and somehow I skipped a Gym in my playing of the game. I have 6 badges ( 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7 ) How did I miss the 6th Gym? Is it the Psychic one next to the Dojo where you pick up Hitmonlee or Hitmonchan? There seems to be a guy blocking the Gym there and keeps telling me to go away. What do I need to do to unlock him/get him out of the way?

You need to go in silph co. and throw out the rockets; if you hadn't already.Silph Co. is the tall building in the middle of town.

1. Saffron City. Gate in Cerulean/Celadon/Vermillion/and another city (forgot)

2. Make sure you have a Soda Pop/Fresh Water/Lemonade so you could pass...The guy will blabber then he'll let you pass.

3. When you arrive there, you'll find out there are a few team rocket members blocking a few houses including the gym.

4. Go to the company (Fifth floor, I think) and go down, you'll find a rocket and battle him. Theres that teleport panel. Step on it and it'll teleport you to another room, step on it again and you'll return back. Go down and then continue on walking to the right and you'll find the Card Key. You'll be able to open the locked doors.

5. Just walk around till you battle Gary, get a Lapras, battle Giovanni (Sp?) and take the Master Ball. Team Rocket will get out of Saffron and you'll be able to enter the gym.

The only thing wrong with the above post is #2--you need the Tea item from Celadon Mansion to give to the guard.

But if you've already gotten to Saffron it doesn't matter anyway.
