I quite like Cepha, he'd me my kind of pokemon XD I think the first thing I noticed is you didn't dither him as much as you have with your sprites, which is not necessarily a bad thing. If I gave it a rating, I'd probably give it 8/10 only cos I'm picky with the amount of tentacles.

New Sprite, Lighnat.

Lighnat, the Firefly Pokemon.

Lighnat are rather docile during the day, but at night, it's abdomen illuminates the sky with brilliant color. They usually travel in large groups and put on dazzling displays for everyone to see.

Ability: Bright Glow - The opponent's accuracy is lowered.

HP: 35

Love the look of this one. Maybe spread out the wings on it. Colours are great. And besides the wings, I think it looks great. Actually, wings aren't that bad, when I look at it. Does it only have the one wing?

I was considering that, but I couldn't find a decent position for the second wing. It could have only the one wing, but perhaps I'll attempt to add a tiny bit of a second one beneath it's bulb.

Just behind the bulb would probably work. It doesn't have to be completely visible, it just has to be a bit visible if so.

i dunno, one wing would be pretty cool, if it flapped it left to right on a straight 108 degrees, with enough downwards force it would be able to fly... wow physics, yet another subject i never did but am attempting to explain :p

anyway, those sprites are good, but on the big sheet, the blue and green are kinda distracting, maybe thats just me, i would say 9/10 over all

Kappen, the Fungus Pokemon.

Kappen is a Grass-type Pokemon. Kappen are very elusive in the wild. Explorers often mistake them as mushrooms. Kappen wield an unexplainable monstrous force, but are very limited on it's use.

Ability:
Chlorophyll - The user's speed is boosted in sunlight.
Effect Spore - Contact may Poison, Paralyze, or cause Sleep


HP: 46
Attack: 17
Defense: 28
Special Attack: 130
Special Defense: 32
Speed: 23
BST: 276 (46 average)

Kappen's massive Special Attack is countered by it's sub-par stats and the fact that the only Special move it can learn is Hidden Power.

To start off, Kappen is adorable. I love the stats and description you've given it. Well thought of. But it's left arm doesn't look right with the rest of the body. Other than that, a great idea, my friend. Great job :)

Brawlauk, the ??? Pokemon.

I made this sprite for Kecleoshrew, based off of his original design.

I don't know anything about it, but I'm assuming that it's name is a portmanteau of Brawl and Auk, which would presumably make it a Fight/Flying type.

To me, I think Brawlauk looks like an oviraptor. Or a big, evil ostrich. I personally really like that sprite. It really does remind me of a flightless bird, for some reason. Maybe because of the lack of wings. Which makes it interesting. Good work spriting that art work, Skai :)

Well, I did use an Ostrich as a reference. I wasn't sure exactly what Kecleo was going for, so I made a few of my own modifications to his design. I wasn't even going for raptor, but as soon as I finished the sprite, I could certainly see it. Just as well, we all know that a Pokemon doesn't need wings to be able to fly. XD

Scaraby, the Young Beetle Pokemon

Ability: Shield Dust - Blocks the added effects of attacks taken.

Scaraby is rare in the wild. It likes to hide in rocky areas and in dense forests. It uses it's formidable horn to ward of potential predators. The method of combat it uses will affect how it grows.

Scaraby will evolve into Heracross if it knows Horn Attack and it will evolve into Pinsir if it knows Vicegrip. It learns both attacks starting at level 22. If it knows both attacks, it will not evolve.

Wow, those are some fail stats, even for a baby.

As for the sprite itself, it really looks like a blue pinsir with one horn. Usually baby pokemon have a look all to themselves, not a small version (or in this case, mixture) of their evolved form.

It has the same bast stat total as Tyrogue. I wasn't happy with how it turned out, either. I tried to throw in some physical traits of both Pokemon, but it turned out more Pinsir than anything. This is the first pre-evolution I've ever attempted, and it didn't turn out great. Now what should that tell me?

Tyrogue shouldn't tell you what to do.

That you should try again with the advice given.
