People have been saying Slaking is good so what is a good nature and moveset for a slaking? ;289;

Adamant Nature @ Choice Band
Earthquake
Shadow Ball
Return
-filler- (as long as it isn't Brick Break, a special attack, or a non-damaging move)

Flail can be a fun filler.

Jolly could work, but it is not that good. 690 attack is too good.

I'm the number one Slaking trainer, well at least I use him the most.

Seriously either go with Adamant or Jolly, however Slaking has a high speed already so you would be wise to use Adamant since Slaking has a Traunt ability. Remember you need the really high attack so you can basically knock out the opponent.

Slaking@Leftovers/Choice Band
Nature: Adamant
Shadow Ball
Earthquake
Body Slame/Return - I'd go with Body Slam so you can cripple the opponent.
Hyper Beam/Brick Break

Zero Nexus

Stand up, go for it
Adamant Nature @ Choice Band
Earthquake
Shadow Ball
blizzard
focus punch

thats my slaking

lol return lol

Blizzard is for...?
Focus Punch in-game helps...?
lol no STAB.

Chaos's set but with Hyper Beam as the 4th filler move.

My future Slaking:

Adamant Nature@Leftovers

-Brick Break
-Aerial Ace
-Shadow Ball
-Return

I think this is one of the best MS for Slakings.

I think this is one of the best MS for Slakings.

1) STAB Return does more damage then a supereffective Brick Break
2) STAB Return does more damage then a supereffective Aerial Ace
3) therefore you are wasting two moveslots
4) use earthquake as a SE EQ actually does more then stab return
5) use choice band

for the record

STAB (SAME TYPE ATTACK BOOST) Return = 153 power (Return at max has 102 base power)
Super Effective Aerial Ace = 140 base power
Super Effective Rock Slide/Brick break = 150 Base Power

meaning there is absolutly no point in using AA/Rock Slide or Brick Break.

also Hyper Beam slaking is fine in game, as the AI isn't going to force you to switch, however return is more useful competitivly as you can switch after you have used it unlike hyper beam

AA's base power is only 60, so it's only 120 power SE.

I agree that Hyper Beam is perfect for Slaking, In Game and since this is for ingame I think shouldn't be much of a problem to have it over Return.

I'd go with Souless Heat's moveset probably since I suppose if you think you're going to be switching out just use Return over Hyper Beam

It works fine on Slaking. Stop complaining.

I have to agree. Hyper beam you don't have to wait a turn to recharge as he has to wait a turn reguardless so its basically made for slaking.

yeah, no idea where i got 70 base power from.

Also the whole 'slaking doesn't have to wait after hyper beam' thing, yes he does, and tbh it's even worse then when he can't attack just because of truant, as you can't switch out. Then again not like the In-game AI will send in their CB Heracross/Medicham on your re-charge turn when you cannot switch like in NB or competitive battles

I hate Resters!!!
I saw this in FR once:

Slaking and Blissey (Opponents)@Arcanine and Salamence (Mine)
Start!
Turn 1
Salamence uses Flamethrower@Arcanine (Arcanine powers up using Flash fire)
Slaking uses Slash@Salamence
Arcanine uses Flamethrower@Blissey
Blissey uses Skill Swap@Slaking (Blissey gains Truant; Slaking gains Natural Cure)
Turn 2
Blissey switches out for Snorlax
Salamence uses Flamethrower@Arcanine (Arcanine powers up using Flash Fire)
Slaking uses Slash@Salamence
Arcanine uses Flamethrower@Snorlax

You can Skill Swap Slaking's Truant. This is just one example.
