Here is a poll on the pokemon that are slow, but hit hard as ****.

I had some nice responses, but it got deleted and I do not feel like typing it all up again. My favorite is armaldo since he is cool and I like ursaring (best normal imo and I will show others how) and rhydon (cooler than tyranitar, hits everything hard).

Also, thanks to pokepoll regulars who noticed my birthday like AJ, CB, Orion (=D), and KK. I was away then, so I could not respond on my birthday or close to it. Also, AJ will vote Machamp and KK will vote ursaring. CB likes hariyama.

Sorry, broken, overused, ugly, over-glorified, boring, fame-stealing lizards do not count.

Besides, tyranitar is not that slow and doesn't fit the theme of underrated, underused, but deadly and strong hitters. Therefore, it is not an option.

Groudon isn't slow.

Groudon doesn't fit the theme.

Groudon is uber, not an underused overused.

Tyranitar has a base speed of either 60 or 61. That's slow. And it doesn't mean I can't post it just because you don't like it. It's not broken, it can be countered.

But since you don't want that, Scizor. Attack 130 Speed 65

Where is Slowking?

Out of that list, I'd have to vote for Rhydon. 8) Ursaring is a close second.

No problem at all! You're so cool and nice it'd be wrong to pass it off. ^^

As for the poll... I'm very fond of Ursaring. I like bears a lot, and Ursaring owned the competition when I played XD and used him. Sheer power like few things around. O__O I wanna see you explaining why he's the best normal, though. :D

Machamp is cool as well, and I'd like to train one someday. I also like Rhydon a lot myself.

Fact is, I'm fond of this sort of Pokémon for the most part. Ironically, both of my hard-hitters so far are in the "hit fast and hard" side, though Pinsir is slightly balanced. :p

PDL

disenchanted
Armaldo since it's the only one on the list I've trained.

Camerupt is pretty good, although 4X weakness to water never helps... and I wish it had more defense...

Well, you're welcome :)

And yeah, Hariyama. It's pathetically slow, but when it gets around to hitting.....Geez D=

Snorlax fits the theme, somewhat, though it's hardly underrated. Rhydon as well.

Ok sorry, but the reason I didn't put tyranitar is because it didn't fit the theme well enough and it was to used to be put with machamp, ursaring, etc. You can still say it though.

Aww thanks, Orion. You really can't find a safe switch-into ursaring. I'll explain in my opinion why I think it is the best attacking normal.

The four normals usually put up against ursaring in this debate are: Tauros, Dodrio, Zangoose, and Slaking. I'll save slaking for later. You shouldn't really compare them to ursaring. Ursaring has a better movepool. Outside of hidden power and normal moves they all learn: Tauros's movepool consists of Ground, Steel; Dodrio's movepool consists of flying; and Zangoose's movepool consists of ghost and fighting. Ursaring gets Earthquake (which dodrio and zangoose lack) AND focus punch (which tauros and dodrio lack). Ursaring also gets swords dance which further boosts his beefier attack and tauros and dodrio can't swords dance. Zangoose can, but it is debatable since zangoose is as frail as **** and can't earthquake. Speed is fixed by agilty/speed boosting passing or paralyzing while keeping zangoose alive is harder. Slaking seems to be the fittest challenger. While slaking has better stats, ursaring is a lot easier to use for a little less of the benefits. Slaking is a hard choice bander (the only set it can use, unlike ursaring) to use due to truant and ursaring is much, much easier to use while still killing ****. It is like user-friendly. Oh yea, loss of shado ball means nothing as you are only using it for gengar and a few other ghosts which are easily beaten by their counters and pursuiters. Stab and maybe boosted return smacks around every psychic but metagross and jirachi who fall to earthquake. (Lunatone and Solrock can hardly take return and take a lot of damage from focus punch). Ursaring has the better ability. Guts is an awesome trait that allows it to switch into crippling thunder waves or will-o-wisps that the others can't and get a major attack boost. CB guts ursaring has an attack stat of about 880. This exceeds cbking's 690 by almost 200 points. Remember this phrase: "A burned Tauros, Dodrio, Zangoose, or Slaking is laughable. A burned Ursaring is one of the greatest forces to reckon with".

Snorlax doesn't fit in since he is more defensive (and ursaring is much cooler).

Most people don't use rhydon and don't think about him tbh.

Raito

HADOUKEN!
Granbull. He has Base 130 Attack I think and isn't he base 40 in Speed?

Freakshow

Jibaku
Regirock ftw. Its probably BL (assuming I'm going with some in the "Advance Tier Revisited revisited" thread. Base 50 Speed, base 100 Attack, can explode, makes a nice defensive wall

Volteon

Back I guess??
Armaldo!

My favorite Rock my 2nd favorite Bug, and great Rock Blast user, I used him at net Battle and it worked wonders! Unfortunately I had to switch because I needed a Levitate Pokémon to avoid earthquakes in my Volteon.

XRay

---what I'm getting
Rhydon, definetly. I love it. It's a regular member of my Crystal and FR teams.

dude

urasing only has one weakness [figting ] so it is probably one of the best

Komedic Konservationist

N00b in the dungeon!
The magnificent Ursaring of course! It's design is simplistic and familiar, yet manages to be hugely creative because of the subtle atronomical referrences on which it and it's pre-evolution are based. Everything about it radiates raw power, without any complications or fancy elemental attacks involved; just tooth, claw, and pure animal bloodlust. You can't possibly deny the awesomeness of it's violent, bestial attitude.
In addition to all this fabulousness, it's also on par with Miltank and just short of Blissey and Snorlax in competetion for the title of "Best Normal Type Ever" and while battling techniques arn't where it's true appeal lies, I can't help but respect it's strength.

Anikin

Rebel
Armaldo. He has a very good defense wich makes sence that heis a bit slow but he hits very hard so there goes my vote.
