Slowbro or Slowking?

Hey, I need other people's opinion on what i shoul evolve my slowpoke into - Slowbro or Slowking. There doesn't really seem to be much difference between the stats except Slowbro has higher base defense, and Slowking has higher special defense. Is the base defense really needed? Because all he's weak against are special types right? I'd really appreciate someone elses opinion on this, Thanks in advance.

I think Slowking, not that he's the king but because he has higher Sp.Defence. It's weaknesses are Dark and Electric, both special attacks, so, it can stand more than Slowbro with lower Sp.Defense.

Go with Slowking.

Ok, thanks for that, I'll evolve it into Slowking as it seems more reasonable for it to have a higher Sp.Def being as it's only weak against special types. Again, thanks for all the replies, and this can be closed now.

Ah, ok thanks for that. It does seem alot more feasible for it to have more Sp.Def instead of Base Def, so it's definate now.

Well it has 3 special attack weaknesses= Dark, Grass, Electric

and it has 2 special defense weaknesses= Ghost, Bug.

It depends really as if you want one with more defense Slowbro would be better as it can have good defense and it can use calm mind to boost its special defense however it depends on what you want.

I would probably suggest a Slowking as that is what I chose a couple of weeks back however slowking isn't as good in defense as it can't increase its defense :).

slowbro is better than slowking. why? calm. mind.

bro has the better physical defense, which is important because you can't boost it. with calm mind, you can send your special defense way up, so it's not as important what it is any more.

of course, this is just if you have a slowpoke with calm mind, which is the only kind i'd consider using.

Extra: if you don't want to use the CM or rest TMs, just breed from smeargle to psyduck to slowpoke.

To answer your question, I'd say Slowbro.

dark is special, it's ghost that's physical.

don't worry, they're pretty much the same type anyway, on the attack. both SE on ghost and psychic, NVE on dark and steel. only differences are effectiveness on normal and fighting types.

don't worry, someone in my school made the same mistake.
