I think I will add Piranha Plant to the list after this one, but that will leave an odd number.

I will probably add other DLC characters as they are released.

Say that none get added for awhile, and we're left with an odd number.

There will be an "odd one out" that will be on hold until another character shows up.

For example, let's say that Cloud becomes the "odd one out".

When Joker becomes playable, he'll face off against Joker.

TL;DR If the remaining characters produces an odd number, one character will be on hold until another character becomes playable.
