Two classic Sonic stages that I’d love to see in Smash are Chemical Plant that incorporates a bit of imagery from Sonic 2 and Mania together and Casino Nights which has its own unique gimmick of getting items and Assist Trophies. The Chemical Plant Theme is remixed to have an electric guitar playing the main melody and there are metallic drumming to give a techno feel. Casino Nights uses a big band sound to give a Las Vegas show vibe with brass instruments playing the main melody with a jazzy piano accompaniment and a light high hat cymbal rhythm. As for how the stage would be presented, Chemical Plant is a combination of a scroller stage and changing terrain with stage hazards in certain sections. You start off on a platform that has the backdrop of the Plant with a couple of tanks and some robot moving back and forth with a stationary Robot pulling a lever and the purple chemical is distributed into a container that a conveyer belt moves off screen. The stage platform then starts to move and it speeds along a track that leads to the left and occasionally will go up and down as if it has gone up a couple of humps. The platform then stops and you are in a section of the Plant where there are pipes everywhere and some chemicals will leap into an arc and land in another pipe and will cause some damage and slight knock back if you get hit. The platform then moves upward quickly and then plunges downward where you stop at a section that looks like a chemical vat of the purple stuff and a new platform is directly above you. The original platform then lowers itself into the chemical and you need to jump up onto the new platform and the level slowly rises and if you fall in it counts as a water hazard and you get KO. After a bit the original platform slowly rises up as the chemical level drops and you must get on the platform again because the stage starts scrolling once more and the platform moves erratically until it reaches the Puyo Puyo puzzle boss section from Sonic Mania. In the background Eggman and a random friend of Sonic is having a battle where the Blobs act as stage hazards and will cause damage if you get hit by one falling on top of you. The platform then moves again and loops the stage with the Boss section having a different Sonic friend each time you get to it.

Are you guys satisfied with the Pokémon representation in Ultimate (fighters,. cameos, stages, music, etc)?

Also, anyone here hoping for Rillaboom, as a solo fully-evolved Grass type Starter to be playable? Hey, if we managed to get Byleth from a fairly recent game, it's only a matter of time until SwSh gets a representation, outside of spirits.

    Auraninja Try to understand.

I think one of the last five fighters will be a Gen 8 Pokemon. This isn't to say that it will 100% happen, but that is my guess.

As for which fighter, Rillaboom may be hard to implement due to him being depicted with a drum (perhaps save it for specials/final smash?), but I suppose it's possible. I could also see any of the other starters and possibly Toxitricity.

    Somewhat. Only thing missing is:

    -More city themes
    -More pre-Gen VII battle themes
-Human characters as Spirits (BESIDES the Trainers)
-Pokémon Ranger as an Assist Trophy

I could see Rillaboom using vines to tie its drums, and Gigantimaxing for its Final Smash.

Yeah, I don't understand why no trainer or important NPC as spirits...

I’m fine with the current fighters (Incineroar was my most wanted newcomer). The cameos are just random Pokémon but I wish we got actual human characters. I’m a fan of the stages but wish we got more diversity like a Ultra Space stage. Music is fine but I don’t like some of the remixes and wish there was more of a balance between each entry. Overall a fan but wish there was more representation (especially spin-offs even though I’m personally not bothered by it).

I know most people are tired of franchises with high amounts of reps like Mario, Fire Emblem, and Pokémon (all have gotten at least one new fighter in each game besides Mario in Brawl and FE in 64) and SwSh are mixed, but I really want Rillaboom. I prefer heavies and it fits the build of one but also have a unique gimmick being its drum. It has a lot of unique potential for its moveset. I mainly just want more Pokémon music in the game though. All I ask is that if a Gen 8 Pokémon gets in, they use the Wild Area instead of a Gym Stadium.

I think the only thing Pokemon was missing in the base game was a new stage. Stages in general, because of the Ultiamte theme, are just a big glaring blind spot in Ultimate but not having a Pokemon stage is just exceptionally glaring. Especially when the game had like 8 new, all remixed songs.

I think that Splatoon should get another stage in Ultimate along with Sonic getting Chemical Plant Zone And Casino Nights, a Puyo Puyo or Tetris themed stage, a stage based on the Tower where you battle Eternatus, aWild Area themed stage, a stage based on the inside of the Vigrid temple from Bayonetta, and a stage based on the final Mage Sisters And Hyness Boss stage from Kirby Star Allies.

My idea for a Sonic stage would be to combine various 8/16 bit stages together and have the stage transform into different ones.

Like you start in green hill zone, then after 20 seconds or so the stage transforms into aquatic ruin, then 2o seconds later, transforms into sky sanctuary.
That way you could include dozens of zones from the early games into a single stage. Could make the transformations random so you get a different set of stages each time you play on it.
Just think of all the stages you could include in this.

Definitely think we need more older gen Pokemon music, but I am still satisfied with what we got. I do think we will get a Gen 8 Pokemon as part of the second Fighters Pass and with it, a Gen 8 stage, Gen 8 music, more spirits and maybe they'll even throw in more Poke Ball Pokemon. Would be nice if it came with themes and spirits for older Pokemon games too. I can actually see a Gen 8 character getting revealed and/or released on Pokemon Day 2021, which is also the 25th anniversary of the Pokemon series.

I’ve always wanted to see a stage based on Ecruteak City that combines its theme with the Kimono Girls Theater Theme with Tin Tower majestically in view and a far away glimpse of Ho-oh passing by and the Legendary Beasts popping up before running off again. I also think a Game Corner themed stage would be interesting too.
