Smash Brothers for Nintendo Switch (and others)

PrinceOfFacade

Ghost-Type Master
Arcanine wouldn't be too hard to incorporate size wise, considering he's only 6'03"

While Entei is 6'11"

However the likely hood of them being playable is laughable.

laughable

I wasn't literally suggesting them, but presenting examples of potentially suitable quadruped characters.

For those who played a past smash game, what character(s) do you enjoy playing now that you didn't in the past games or vice versa?

For me, after a lot of 1 on 1 random characters stock battles, i started liking peach a lot. I always disliked playing as her since melee and brawl didn't help her case. but now, i just love playing as her. an that side taunt is the new "you're too slooow" and "come on, step it up!" taunts that i just love (they should have kept those amazing taunts).

Ganon was always one of my favorites (if not my absolute fave) in melee but brawl hurt him a lot. I still played the heck out of him but i always preferred melee's ganon. Now he's no speedy aerials ganon but he's strong and resistant as fudge and i love him for that.

A character i learned to apreciate is R.O.B. i never liked the guy in brawl but now i see using it more and more and i'm really enjoying that neutral aerial spam.

Last case i'll bring is kind of in the same train of thought as ganon and that's samus. she was way more powerful in melee, then brawl toned her down a little and now she's back, not as strong as in melee but still, i regained a lot of love for her. That amazing killer spike of hers in melee was my favorite thing to spam and it was ganon levels of power.

As for the characters that stayed the same, fox and falco as as boring to play and annoying to face as ever. I didn't like their playstyle in any smash game and i still don't. Wolf is a very different case, as i do like to play him a lot. the fire emblem characters are all fun to play and they were since melee.

What about you?

Does anyone actually play this game? Good grief it's no doubt popular as far back as Brawl it's release days are always hectic (Pokémon release days don't even compare), but the looking to brawl with others thread is dead and people just talk about the game. It's so weird that it's so difficult to organize times to brawl others. Sure, there's randos on wifi, but they stop you from using customs. You put the the freakin' customs in the game you should have a section for default chars, custom move allowed chars, and custom move and equipment allowed chars. None of my friends have the wii u which I really want to
play. >.<#

brawl = a match between players

I am talking about trying to find games with others. I did mention customs and such and those were not in Brawl.

Brawl nerfed a lot of its vets into oblivion, so the vice versa for my Melee folks there

For characters who only got good in Smash 4, Sonic and Bowser are my personal standouts there

I just want to play fun multi player games with the complete customs I work hard to get in the 3ds version (Ness is complete; still farming for Mega Man, Sonic, and maybe Toon Link).

In an earlier post I mentioned I finally built my custom Goomba Isle stage which I'd love to try occasionally in the matches. Now I want to try and recreate New Pork City (the very least platforms close to the setup in Brawl's stage, appropriate background, and set to Unfounded Revenge), but no good pictures (all too small) and feel like I'll have to boot up Brawl and jot notes. v.v

Just one more day until Mewtwo arrives for us in Club Nintendo. He's all revved up and ready to go.

yeah, i also have to wait for the 28th. I'll have to calm my hype with watching some stream (probably etika's). I think i'll try to main mewtwo since i always liked him in melee.

You can also try watching Pokemon the First Movie, the media that defined Mewtwo to many. My characterization of Mewtwo in my fanfic universe is based off how he is depicted in that movie, but he has changed a lot since the events of the movie, and in particular, since leaving Smash in 2008.

There's no need to separate people like Mario Kart 8, just have Mewtwo download with the patch and let the DLC just be the means to unlock it. That way people without it can still fight against Mewtwo players online.

Don't look here.
Awwwwww yeah, Mewtwo tomorrow. I'm so hyped. I will probably try him out for a little tomorrow night because I have work to do. By a little, I mean take him for a spin on For Glory and check out the balance patch.

Simple.

Separate the people who bought the DLC in their own categories like they did in MK8.

It will become really obnoxious to do this once they have to split things up across people who bought:
-mewtwo
-lucas
-who knows how many more character between lucas and when they stop
-all the separate mii outfit dlc
-per stage or stage pack if they ever do those

MK8 can get away with it because it's only 2 packs and its packs of 8 levels each. And they dont gate off the playables or vehicles.

Then again, I wasn't totally supporting the idea. I think it's too much to separate people just because of one character.
