Arbok is also good because it has two different abilities: Shed Skin and Intimidate, the one I have currently in my FireRed has Shed SKin it's a level 42

That's nothing, pal. Almost everyone thinks that many new Pokémon are rip-offs of old ones instead of applying real world logic (Which is Pokémon's fase, FYI...)... "OMFG Beautifly is a rip-off of Butterfree!" It sickens me like not much else. Get it through your head: Different Pokémon live in different places, much like different animals live in different places! They might be the same species, but THEY'RE NOT THE SAME!

Yeah, I agree with you 100%. IMO, the whole rip-off thing was created by Kanto purists as a way of bashing the other (superior) regions. And Pokemon like Arbok, Dewgong, and Butterfree needed to be re-made anyway, as they are lousy Pokemon with bland, generic designs and meh-ish stats.

Anyway, I prefer Arbok. Nice Sludge Bomb attack, nice design, higher tier than Seviper etc. Although Seviper does get respect for being the Battle Pike mascot.

I love both, but Seviper possesses much more KO power, even if it is slower as heck. Arbok is quicker, but not able to use Sp. attacks like Seviper, or at least nearly as well. Still, I like both, even if they aren't perfect.

Agreed. Walrein in particular. Dewgong is a big white hot dog with NO. MOVEPOOL. AT. ALL, whereas Walrein is an awesome looking walrus with an awesome movepool and awesome Stats.

Seviper is far better than Arbok. Cobras may be cool, but Arbok disgraces the name of them. Seviper, however, has a great name(LOLZ I AM DA CORBA SPELD BACKWERDZ), and gives new light to the somewhat neglected viper family. Excellent colors(rather ugly Shiny, though), nice Stats, able to own with Physical or Special Attacks due to AMAZING Base Stats on either end. Arbok, though.....It doesn't get excellent Offense, not even in Physical, where it actually has a chance of inflicting damage.

Arbok, on the other hand, has a better Ability(Intimidate). Seviper is far more intimidating, though, IMO, and it deserves that far more than Arbok .

This is a Snake face-off, and Steelix is a snake. Steelix is my favorite snake in the game. Ergo, I said Steelix. However, I also gave a mention to Seviper to hearken to the original question.

Arbok has been one of my favourites since I first discovered PokéMon, so even if I like Seviper very much I like Arbok better.
