Snickers was bought the most for halloween but that is besides the point. This thread is to talk about the illegiality of trick or treating over the age of 12 in some states in the U.S. Effectively put into the legal system this year.

Yes Papa, that means no going around houses on halloween and asking for beer when you run out.

That's probably one of the stupidest laws I've ever heard of. What is the problem with little children under the age of 12 trick-or-treating? If the problem is abductions... it's the parent's fault for not watching their children closely enough. If they've got a lot of kids, bring one adult per child, or put them on leashes, or properly control the children in the first place.

Really now, that saps the fun out of trick-or-treating more than having it only happen from 4 to 8 in the afternoon.

My city put that law into effect last year. That really sucks, because the last time I trick-or-treated (my sophomore year), I got a shit-ton of candy.
