Who is your favorite base 535?
Snorlax-I think hes pure awesomeness. In terms of defensive capabilities he is a mini-Blissey, but he has base 110 attack to work with. Hes widely considered as the best non-uber and its obvious why it has been in the Standard tier for the past decade. He had the strongest physical attack in the game (a STABed Selfdestruct) and now he gets Crunch.
Gyrados-Back in RBY, he was absolutely fantastic. He had base 100 Special Attack and a huge special movepool. Now hes only got base 60, but he now gets more physical moves than ever and Dragon Dance, and finally, a useable STAB move.
Blissey-Again, today's Blissey is not quite as good as RBy Chansey (Chansey had base 105 Special Attack and lasted almost as long as a Blissey defensive-wize), but she is awesome. She makes special sweepers absolutely useless. If she has counter phsyical sweepers are useless. If she has Aromatherapy, statusers are useless, anything with Seismic Toos is useles against her, anything with low HP is useless against her. Shes great.
Kingdra-An awesome type combo and only one weakness that rarely comes up. This thing is murderous when its raining (as I discovered to my expense on NetBattle).
Milotic-Like Snorlax and Blissey, this is widely considered as the best non-uber. A burnt Milotic today is 10x more threatening than a burnt Starmie in RBY (and anyone who has played RBY knows how much people dread burning their opponent's Starmie). As far as I know, nobody can 1HKO a Milotic except Exploders and SelfDestructers.
Jibacoil-This has one of the best type-combos in the game. Its phenomenal. It resists, Rock, Electric, Grass, Poison, Psychic, Flying, Bug, Normal, Ghost, Ice, Steel, Dragon and Dark. THIRTEEN types. 13 or the 17 types do half damage to Jibacoil. Thats nothing to laugh at. And we havent even looked at its base 130 Special Attack and its base 115 Defense. This thing will be such a monster. Magneton was one of the most talked about Pokemon of this generation, what will become of Jibacoil?
Dosaidon-Rhydon was known for its monsterous attack stat. In RBY and GSC Rhydon was a Pokemon everyone feared. Persians and Chanseys ran around using Bubblebeam. Can you see this happening today? HP Water came out of fasion on Electric types, but now we have an even more terrifying Dosaidon, I can imagine we will be seeing a load of random Pokemon with Surf.
Mojanbo-If Special Defense and Speed stats did not exist in Pokemon, Mojanbo would be an uber. His movepool is awesome (especially compared to Tangela's). Its speed and Special Defense do let it down somewhat, but I can see this being a new Standard in DP.
PorygonZ-Unlike Porygon2, his speed is somewhat decent. He also gets scheme and with the special attack of Alakazam (and better Defenses AND a better movepool) I think this will be one awesome Pokemon.
These Pokemon are all absolutely fantastic. I do think that Blissey, Kingdra, Jibacoil, Dosaidon, Mojanbo and PorygonZ were not needed since their pre-evolutions were strong enough as it were and there are other Pokes who are more desperate to evolve, but its happened now, and I can always imagine they arent related to any of their pre-evos (with alot of trying).
