• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

Ash's fangirl
Change of mind, I'm not excited for BW anymore, right now I wish the writers just destroy Isshu before Ash decide to go there... The new girl killed my mood.

I'm excited to see how the series will start out. But sadly, I don't live in Japan, or get any of it's channels. The only way I can see the Japanese September premiere is if someone uploads it to YouTube or something. Of course, I won't understand a bloody thing, but at least I could get the general idea of what happens...or maybe the extremists wilk have subs for us by then :D. Here's to hoping...

I'm very excited for Pokemon: Best Wishes to begin. It sounds like it will be really interesting.

Yes, I am excited for Best Wishes to begin.

I was excited for Diamond and Pearl to begin.

I was excited for Battle Frontier to begin.

Likewise, Advanced Generation, Johto, and Pokemon itself. XD

Platinum fan.

Not as much as I should be. But to be fair I wasn't looking forward to Diamond and Pearl either. I started off not liking Dawn very much just because she was following May's footsteps and I was tired of cheap wins at this point, but once I actually gave her a chance she turned out to be one of my favorites, like my 4th or 5th fave character, probably my fave female character in the show after Lyra. So anything can happen.

Granted at this point I don't care that much about Ash anymore, I'm sorry but I don't. I'll only really care about him when his character is finally being wrapped up aka end of series, so I'm excited for the new Pokemon, new girl, and new evil Team. If we were getting a new male or even female lead as the new star of the show I would be much more excited and more active in the B/W releases. I'm looking forward to the games more then the anime, but I'm sure most feel the same there.

I can't wait for Best wishes to come about. Nice Title though. And also because no more boring Brock. Hopefully the new guy has something to do. That's the thing that bugs me.

No, because I don't want that Ash will suddenly leave, which is very possible.

It's pretty hard to think about this show without Ash, Dawn and Brock.

I understand about Brock since he's been with Satoshi the longest but for Dawn there has been other female lead characters besides her over the years. I'm glad that Dawn will not be returning. Since Hoenn there has been a new girl and it's going to continue being like that. Anyways, as for me being excited for the new anime I am but I was kinda hoping Satoshi would grow a little maybe two years. Gives time for Ash to grow up a little but sadly he's going to be 10 for another 4 years or so. I was also hoping for Jessie and James not to return. I know they have been with the show since the beginning but after so many episodes i'm just tired of them and their antics. I'm still going to watch it though.

I don't like Iris' hair, but it's totally worth it to get rid of Brock. I'm going to miss Dawn (I liked her more than I liked May), but I never got too attached to her character because I knew she was just going to be thrown away from the beginning.

Also, weird title. I'm guessing they didn't want to call it "Pokemon Black and White". It makes the Anime sound like a silent film or something.

Thank you, SPPf! :)
Movin' to polls. That place needs some life anyway.

Honestly, no. Not because the series doesn't look good or anything, but because I'm thinking of finally retiring from viewership, especially if Sinnoh ends in an anticlimax. I still love the series as much as ever, but I feel like I need to move on in my life for personal reasons. So I'm not getting into too many details (and I'll still be around this forum to pester you all, no worries), but I may call it curtains this time.

Things aren't going to be the same if you are gone S.Suikun :( but i guess we have to support your decision.

Not really, I was more exited for DP because I loved Dawn's design instantaneously, and the new female protagonist's design is a bit bland. And we had known about DP since Munchlax's debut in the deoxys movie, while we also had several DP cameos in BF saga and even some in the main character's teams.

I'm still excited for BW but DP had more hype to it and a longer hype.

CyberCubed

Yeah, ok!
I'll agree with the camp that says they're not that excited for BW.

Honestly, the show has gone on too long at this point and seeing Ash go on yet ANOTHER journey doesn't fill me with joy.

I guess the simple fact that the DP trio is over is a good thing. Brock will finally be retired, as will Piplup, and the dullness of the contest rivals this gen.

But sadly no, the BW arc is the first arc I don't really think I'm interested in. I may become a casual viewer of Pokemon after DP ends.

I must say I'm excited for B/W more than as for D/P because I have been voting Brock for the series for years. But another reason is because around the end of each season whenever Ash loses a league, it's just fun when he keeps on going to another adventure, not give up and meet new people.

Nope, not at all, because I don't get along with what I've seen of BW up to now. (New Pokémon, Triple Battles, etc.)

And I really hope they get rid of Ash soon as I don't want my childhood Idol to be part of this blasphemy anymore...

DigitalUpkeep

I make no sense.
I'm not sure.

I certainly didn't have the excitement for it that I did for D/P, that's for sure. Initially I disliked D/P greatly though, so I'm not sure. I'm sure I'll come to like or at least accept BW, and I'll probably watch as long as Ash is there, but I'm still not sure. I liked Sinnoh the best of the sagas, and enjoyed Dawn and Brock (even for the little he did).

We'll just have to wait and see. It could be the best ever, who knows.

Sure am, Mainly because of the many rumours.

Like Ash not getting the grass strater and the whole Iris is psycic sounds intresting. However there is one rumour that kind of disturbs me and that is that Iris is black, based on the beta art. It would just feel like they need a token now that brock is gone.

I can't wait for Best Wishes to come either. Hopefully 1. Brock is really gone (for good) this time and we get a new guy thats active with good pokemon. Plus 2. piplup is going as well. I don't care for Iris's personality just as long as shes not snobby, attention seaking, or know it all-ish and doesnt carry the same one pokemon in her arms. So, yes, im excited and excited to see Iris in a full official picture too~ One thing though. Im concerned of Ashs rival having said to be similiar to paul. >_> Never liked paul but just as long as the new rival isnt his clone...hmm...

No, I am not excited for B/W. The 5th gen PKMN look awful. I won't be part of this PKMN cycle anymore. After D/P is over with, I might not watch the anime again. And I definitely won't be buying either B/W games.
