Nobody's Nerd
Electric Engine
The last team I posted here was rather noobish, I'll admit. I went back to the drawing board and decided I needed to think things out more, so I came up with something which has taken a lot more effort. I've tried to come up with a counter to every counter, though everyone knows that's nearly impossible. Anyway, if there are any glaring weaknesses, feel free to tell me, and I won't be too sad.

252 HP/84 ATK/168 DEF
-Earthquake
-Avalanche
-Waterfall
-Stealth Rock
My center Pokémon. I’m going to make a valiant attempt to build a team around Swampert. The choice to use him as my rallying point was the least thought-out part of this team, but I have to start somewhere, right? Basically, he’s a physical attacker. Swampert also serves as a counter to some of the fire-types that might try to come in on Metagross and Lucario. Stealth Rock will further help that cause, as it is very effective against the fire-types that will hurt half of my team, Infernape excepted because of his dual-Fighting type.
Metagross @ Choice Band
Adamant
Clear Body
252 HP/ 244 ATK/12 DEF
-Meteor Mash
-Earthquake
-Rock Slide/Thunderpunch
-Pursuit
Without Stone Edge, Swampert might have problems against Gyarados. If I can find the right Metagross with TPunch, I'll opt for that, but as I don't have Emerald, that might be an issue and I'll go for Rock Slide instead. Pursuit will hit any Psychic-type who tries to switch in on Swampert, most notably Cress and the legendary trio, or Gengar with Energy Ball. Metagross also provides a valuable switch-in against grass-types carrying Grass Knot or Energy Ball.
Lucario @ Choice Specs
Modest
Steadfast
4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spd
-Aura Sphere
-Psychic
-Vacuum Wave
-Dragon Pulse
Psychic is for Weezing, who walls Swampert and can hurt Metagross pretty bad with Will-O-Wisp. Aura Sphere/Vacuum Wave is for revenge kills on Tyranitar. Lucario can also come in on the STAB Dark and Bug moves that will undoubtedly be sent after Cresselia, barring Pursuit, of course.
Cresselia @ Leftovers
Modest (the one I’ve got is Timid, is that a huge issue?)
Levitate
20 HP/252 DEF/236 Sp. Atk
-Ice Beam
-Moonlight
-Reflect
-Thunder Wave
Cress is there specifically as a Garchomp counter, seeing as Garchomp will cause both of my sweepers some serious issues and can also cause some heavy damage to Swampert. It also helps against Salamence, who might be carrying a fire move that can decimate Tangrowth. The other moves are for support, naturally.
Tangrowth @ Leftovers
Bold
Chlorophyll
252 HP/228 DEF/28 Spd
-Grass Knot
-Leech Seed
-Sleep Powder
-Shock Wave
Donphan, Hippowdon, and Swampert are three of Metagross’ big counters. So, the logical defense against them is Grass Knot, on top of the general walling abilities Tangrowth offers. It’s hard to think of any reason not to include the rather annoying Sleep/Seeding combo on Tangrowth, and Sleep, of course, means trouble for anyone on the other team. Shock Wave means the fun doesn’t end when Skarmory switches in on Tangrowth.
Crobat @ Leftovers
Jolly
Inner Focus
252 HP/4 ATK/252 Spd
-U-Turn
-Aerial Ace
-Mean Look
-Hypnosis
Finally, Crobat deals with the Grass-types that hurt Swampert so very badly, and in some cases can wall Tangrowth. Aerial Ace is the main weapon against said Grass-types, but anyone who tries to switch in on Crobat may also find that he has vanished into thin air with U-Turn. Even more important than the Grass-types, however, is Crobat's convenient 4x resistance to both of Heracross's STAB attacks, which can hurt my team pretty badly. Mean Look and Hypnosis are mainly there for trapping, but I think they may go in favor of another set, seeing as the other status moves on my team make trapping more of a toy than a necessity.
