So yeah Scott Pilgrim

The Ducks are Thugs.
Totally an off the wall subject, but who else enjoys Scott Pilgrim versus the world like I do?
Not sure what it is about that movie but I'm hooked. :3

I always thought that it was wierd. I guess I just don't get the story at all. I like the MAD parody though like Zibdas said.

Thats because you're not suppose to take the story that seriously. No one will explain to you why Scott's world works this way you just have to accept it does. Because of this the movie isn't for everyone. I had a blast watching it though.

I enjoyed the Scott Pilgrim movie. What makes it enjoyable was the video game references. Two things I liked were the scene with the Seinfeld music and this line:

Wallace: If you want something bad, you have to fight for it. Step up your game, Scott. Break out the L-word.
Scott: Lesbian?
Wallace: The other L-word.
Scott: ...Lesbians?

Magically Delicious!
The movie was pretty good I thought. You can't expect a movie to ever measure up to the source material, so of course the graphic novel series is and alwayswill be better. But, if you go into it just looking to be entertained, you'll probably have a different opinion.

never read the books, and i liked the movie, which i only watched because i needed something to do one night.

deal with it.

Mr. Joker

keep calm & carry on
The books were amazing, but to much to jam into one movie. Plus it was Edgar Wright... so uh you know what I'm saying.

Emperor Empoleon

Honor of Kalos
Loved the movie, but never read the books :S Think I will later this year..If I can manage to track them down..The non-sense is amazing :3

I enjoyed the film. If I went to the movie theater and watched this movie I'd walk away very happy.

The acting was poor, however that could have and most likely was on purpose. Which in that regard means the acting was really good. On the other hand, the acting could have just been bad.
The film was very imaginative, but balanced out the imagination with reality very well.
The film was very predictable, but you can't expect an inception like film.
I found the special effects to have been very well done, and the fights were really cool, IMO.

I heard of it as a movie first, and it looked interesting. When I checked out the graphic novel, though, I wasn't really interested. I did finally see the movie a couple weeks ago, and it was just okay. A few specific scenes and conversations were amusing, but the comedy didn't hold throughout the film.

I guess it doesn't help that I didn't much like the plot material or the main characters, does it? Some scene girl who dated a new guy - and even girls - every week all growing up, dumping them for shabby reasons? I do not know why our main character would go loopy for her at first sight. And I agree with Chris-kun anyway: Scott was a huge jerk.

Visually, the movie was pretty cool. Comedically, it had a few moments. Story- and character-wise, I found it profoundly dissatisfying. >(
