I have soft rest aout 150 times for a shiny Rayquaza so I was wondering if anyone knows an esstimate of how long it takes... I know it is random but I was just wondering how long it ussaly takes people to get shiny...

The chance of getting a shiny is 1 in 8,192. So you could like take 5 resets. Or 100,000 resets.. it is just too random to say. But theoretically, if you'd soft reset 8,192 times, you'd get one shiny.

The people like pelican who have lots of SR-able shinies take between 2000 and 4500 or 5000 to get them, I happen to know.

2000-5000 not as bad as 8000

For a first shiny, don't SR. Just do your regular stuff, don't think about them, and try to make it so you do lots of training in the grass and have many ultra balls with you...

EDIT: first, don't double post, second, like the other peoples said, it could take 5, or it could tak 1,000,000. I was just saying that pelican, who has a lot of SR-able ones has an average of about 3500 probably.

Look, if u meet that shiny Rayquaza are u going to use the master ball? Cuz if u dont, problably u wont catch him in the first attempt!

ya I have a master ball If I cant cath him with Timmer balls they are my FAv and I cath the best with them...

1. Save the Master Ball for your Lati.
2. 1/8192m is the chance. The computer could go horribly against you lick-wise, hence you are not by any means guaranteed a shiny after 8192 pkmn, or else everybody would have at least one on a normal game--with normal time put into it. You may have to wait a very, very long time for one, seeing that, at a rate of 30 pkmn per second, to find 8000, I believe it was somewhere around 68 hours. In other words, do not catch Rayquaza yet. Look around for a much longer time in an area where you would want a shiny if the worst comes. Then, after you have piled ten hours or so, go give Rayquaza a couple soft resets and maybe luck will come your way a bit-more easily...

LOL.. 30 Pokémons per second?? Let's say per minute...
If it would be per minute, it would be:

(8,192 / 30) / 60 = Approx. 4,5
So it's like 10 hours (cause you won't make the 2 seconds per battle).

Try maybe 6 pokes per minute. If you are softresetting, plan on 3 a minute (it takes about 18 seconds). So to SR 8192 times, you're talking about 45 hours or so just to get there...and you still will only have a shiny 63% of the time if you do 8192 resets. Ah lucky Pelican...you stinker!

Oops, I meant 1 pkmn per thirty seconds. :p
