Software development: from where to start

My nephew has finished his degree in Computer science and now he is searching good software development company in LA region. There are many huge corporations here, and new agencies pop up on a regular basis. Because the region attracts IT specialists from all over the world, local businesses may demonstrate great professionalism at relatively low costs. So he wants to try his luck there

I think he should make an extensive portfolio, this will increase the chances of finding the right company, maybe he participated in some training projects ?

What is he interested in doing? Is there a certain type of software or project that he wants to work on? Or a certain language he is proficient in?

I’d probably recommend working on some open-source software to start with. If he can get into a smaller company or get an internship/summer coop, then that could help build connections. I’d also recommend finding the programming communities and attending or presenting at meetups or other events as that is a great way to network, build communication skills, and add to a resume.

If you're still unsure where to start, a good rule of thumb is to start with HTML/CSS and JavaScript since these languages provide a good intro to programming and web development. Java is also another good option if you plan on doing back-end development.

Searching for a top Software development Company? Chapter247 provide Top Custom Software Development Services in US and Chapter247 is a Custom Software Development that designs and builds scalable Customized Application Software for enterprises and startups that helps them to achieve growth and scale.

when it comes to building software these are main steps: study the market, develop the business plan, define software requirements, choose the technical stack, form a development team/outsource, and build an MVP. You can read this article about saas app design, there are all important info about software development and design. Hope it will be useful for you too.
