Welcome to another installment on "why x card is a bad suggestion for x deck."
Today, we have an Exodia deck centered around winning with the Bistro Butcher, the least powerful of exodia builds, but also the least expected.
We'll start with this:
I'm suggesting when SD6 comes out to use Mystic Box. That would just be too g0dly to pass up.
Shien's Spy is far better for this than mystic box because you're not relying on your opponent to have a monster in play to use the card. Shiens spy can be activated and pass over a monster regardless of whether your opponents field is clear, or not. Mystic Box isnt even a good card on its own...
You choose a monster on your side of the field to shift control to your opponent to destroy one selected monster on your opponent's side of the field. It's pretty effective,a and a good combo with that card is going to be Tsukuyomi.
Anyways other cards to consider adding:
Pot of Avarice
Backup Soldier
Morphing Jar
Dark Mimic
Des Lacooda
Level Limit
Gravity Bind
I bolded out the cards there that would NOT help the Butcher Exodia build. First off, Pot of Avarice is a TERRIBLE choice to put in any Exodia, and a sad choice for most other decks. Putting 5 monsters from the graveyard in your deck is going to HINDER the Exodia. The key is to make the deck as thin as possible, as fast as possible. I know what you're thinking. "But Mimic and Lacooda-" are really slow. You have a ton of searchers and a bistro butcher to do all your drawing in one single fell swoop, hard and fast, do it now. And backup soldier used to be the best method of snagging those pieces, before..Dark Factory of Mass Production came out and surpassed it. Not only is it not a "I have to wait until your draw phase" trap, its restrictions are less. You dont have to have at least 5 monsters in the graveyard, it only takes the 2 normal ones you need back in your hand. Limbs, anyone?
hold up a sec. you put Upstart Goblin in traps, and spells. if this is Advanced format, do something about this deck. i think you were thinking about Robbin Goblin, though you should put in a Royal Decree for the fatc that you don't have many traps.
~Kalkris
The only reason Decree would hurt more than help is because it does NOTHING for the deckthinning strategies.
Okay. Heres MY build.
