Some Ex [Set] questions

Prince_PJ

Infinity's got 23
Ok, I used to collect Pokemon cards (Base Set all the way up to Neo, and less frequently Neo 2, 3 and 4), and recently I've been buying Pokemon packs of varying series since I'm so far behind (Only the ex series though)

a) Ex [Series] Foil stamps

Ok, I've boughten packs like Ex Emerald, Holon Species, and most recently (Today), ex Legend Maker. Randomly in packs (More often than not, I've found), there have been cards with a stamp of their set, and holofoil, regardless if they're common, uncommon, rare, or holofoil already. Are these supposed to be rare or no? Does the random stamp card contradict the rule of so and so amount of common cards, so and so amount of uncommon cards, and 1 rare? Because in one Ex Emerald pack, I had gotten one holofoil Gardevoir, and in the same pack, an Ex Emerald stamp Sceptile. Is that normal, or just one of those rare packs with the multiple rare cards?

b) ex cards

In my purchase today (Ex Legend Maker), I got my first Pokemon Ex card. Are these supposed to be rarer than normal... rare cards? Just because of their odd number placement (Behind the energies). [IF you're curious, it was a Mew ex)

Q1) No, they're not supposed to be rare. There's one in every single booster. They're foil versions of each card, which are no rarer than their normal card (I would imagine).

Q2) There's about 1 Pokémon-ex per booster box (as of Legend Maker). So they're extremely rare.

Anyone, feel free to correct or yell at me. :p

Asking to be corrected, tsk tsk...

Q1) They're Reverse Foils. They're more rare than their normal versions, hence "Foil", AKA Holo,, but not as rare as the Holos themselves.

Q2) Don't know where you got that from, but my friend has gotten like three Pokemon EX from the some box. And yes, it was Legend Maker.

I like cheerios.
You get three per box in LM usually and 1 per box in LM, DS and others without very many ex in the set.

My experience with the Legend Maker boxes is that you get 2 EXs per box. Each set has a different ratio on EX cards. Some of them, like Unseen Forces, have 4 EXs, while other sets, like Delta Species, only have 1. The ratio of EXs depends on the amount of total EX cards in the set.

Shining Pokemon are released one per three boxes, or 108 packs.

Anyways, cards that are stamped are reverse holos. You get one per pack.
