Something about the PS3...

Well, I read in a magazine, that they are considering putting in a chip in the PS3, which means that you can only play games you bought first-hand. You won't be able to borrow your friends games, or buy pre-owned ones either.

Which is totally insane. Is this true?

Old news. Its not comfirmed if they're going to use it yet or not.

They shouldn't do that, some people rent their games first to see if they are any good. That would ruin the whole thing.

It's already confirmed false and is somewhat old news (about a month old), I have the link but I have to look it up for you.

There was actually a thread about this when it was first heard and it was found out to be true. I cannot see it in any of the other pages of this forum, but it was found to be false.
