Something you may not know about Soundproof

One time, I had a wild battle, and my Pokemon was a Mr. Mime. He fell asleep and when I tried to wake him up, it said something like "What a catching tune!". What the heck was that about? Apparently, Soundproof Pokemon cannot wake up by the Pokeflute, and probably not any other kind of flute.

I'm assuming that this happened in the Fr/Lg. Well that comes as to no surprise to me since the pokeflute awakens pokemon by its sound, so it makes sense that Mr. Mime's soundproof ability negates pokeflute's effect.

I tried that bf but no poke wakes up when i play it.

That's too bad. The flutes are the most useful items in the game. I'll have to check my Blue Flute on a Whismur or something.

No i mean pokeflute nevers works for me but the others do.

Shouldn't that be obvious? Considering that sounds comes from the flutes to wake them up.
