So did I even though the dub's lyrics were kind of bad and chessy. I thought the original Japanese version of their song was much better.

Hee hee I've read a translation of Team rocket's Japanese song and it seems like the dubbed version played here just kept the instrumental and changed the lyrics. ^^;

I really liked Team Rocket's new anthem song here and Jigglypuff's little stage concert at the end of this episode in Neon Town was festive.

I liked when we first met Purin because she seemed full of potential and personality. In fact, for a while while I was watching the episode, I was expecting Purin to join Kasumi's team since the two got along well. And of course, the live concert in the woods with the Rocket-dan was the most memorable part of this episode.

This filler was acceptable since Jigglypuff was in it, sang, got mad, and drew on everyone. After Ash, Misty, and Brock helped Jigglypuff become a singer, she started stalking Ash's group and appeared in various episodes.

Kasumi might have had a chance to capture Purin at the end of this episode if Purin hadn't suddenly disappeared while everyone in Neon Town was asleep. But my guess is that because Kasumi was a Water Pokemon specialist in the games, that the writers wanted to keep that trend in the anime, too.

Jigglypuff was new here, so it wasn't as rude as usual. And I LOVED Team Rocket's anthem song even though the lyrics were stupid. I still laughed though.

Purin did seem reasonable here as opposed to how she'd act later on. If she wasn't such a diva in the future, I wouldn't have been against her joining the cast.

I didn't want Jigglypuff to join Ash and crew though because Jigglypuff's lullaby seemed too intrusive.

I find it amusing that Purin's whole purpose for even getting this episode to itself was so that it could make the grumpy people fall asleep just so that they'd become less irritable. It's the kind of wacky storyline that Kanto was well known for.

It was on the videotape; I assume KidsWB cut it from their broadcast for violating some network standards.
