Sonic game for Revolution

It seems more than obvious. They're currently working on "Sonic the Hedgehog" for the 360 and PS3, it's unlikely that a game designed for those systems would run on the Revolution, so they'll more than probably make one designed for the remote. This can either be seen as a good or bad thing. As long as Nintendo continues getting this kind of third party support, it's fine, but a lot of developers aren't going to take the effort to design a game soley for the Revolution, especially with the higher costs for developing games nowadays.

Either way, I find it hard to get excited about a Sonic game. All the 3D games have been medicore at best, and the recent few have been god awful, Shadow and Sonic Hereos especially, they would have been sub-par for Dreamcast games.

Sonic Rush was a massive step in the right direction, and Sonic the Hedgehog is LOOKING good. But I'm not holding out much hope.

Except the fact that the revolution has been backed up by a good number of developers.

This is good news, I was imagining the original Sonic the hedgehogs using the rev controller by moving the remote in the direction you want the character to move, and making a circle in the air to go round a loop. I know this won't be used, I'm wondering how it'll be used.

I did state that, I only said there's a chance that a lot of developers won't bother, especially further into the future when the gimmickness of it has worn out.

I saw this info a couple of days ago and I hope it isn't seen as a rubbish exclusive like many of the other exclusive Sonic titles. Also, I'm with WinterSnowblind on this, Rush was a brilliant game and Sonic in 3D really does work. Sonic 360/PS3 does look rather interesting though...

Any game that the PS3 or X360 can get can run with the same control scheme on the Revolution. Might I remind you of the shell?

Personally, here's what I think. Sega knows that whatever Sonic the Hedgehog game they put on a Nintendo console, they're gonna make heaps of cash. So with this news that it's possible they're developing a completely different game for the Revolution, I think they're developing "Next Gen Sonic" and "Revolution Sonic" for the Revolution at the same time. I truly doubt that Sega is going to pass up an opportunity to put a full-fledged traditional 3D Sonic on a Nintendo console.

Then again, I hope they don't... because that means that the Revolution version is gonna get extras, and I want to buy the Xbox 360 version because it's been devved on that console from the start... oh well.

It has nothing to do with the controls, more to do with the fact the Revolution doesn't come anywhere near matching the power of the 360 or the PS3. Not putting the Revolution down or anything, Nintendo aren't exactly aiming for insane graphics like the other two are, but I could see this presenting a problem to Nintendo in the future, like I said before.

The Revolution is essentially a souped up Xbox, only with more RAM. It's not like companys can simply port a PS3/360 game over to the machine without making some radical changes.
