Actually Gems does say it takes up 37 blocks. Mega collection takes up 2.

2 blocks? Is that all?

You know, Mega Collection really paled in comparison to Sonic Jam in terms of extra content. No rare commercial videos or anything. Fweh.

It's just Genesis titles compiled with comic book covers. That's about it.

Gems requires more since it's holding two PC ports and a ported arcade title.

It's true, I still have Sonic Mega Collection, only cost 2 blocks.

thats cause the sonic mega collection is made up of the old original sonic games going back to the sega genesis.

This thread obviously isn't going anywhere now, so I'll ask this right here, right now: Is Sonic Gems actually worth a purchase? Keep in mind this question is coming from the guy who has the PC version of Sonic CD, a working Game Slab & Tails' Adventure. Though I'd really like to have a proper playthrough of Sonic the Fighters, considering the SegaWorld Arcade machine ate up pound coins like nobodies business~

Sonic Gems Collection is basically a bunch of cheap games in one expensive-ish package, except for this game having Sonic Fighters and some rare artwork. I really like Sonic R though, so you decide.

If you have Sonic CD, Gems isn't really worth getting.

I'd say wait until the game's on clearance or something. It may be $20 right now, but that's still a little much for the three games and the extras.

Well I often see it dumped off in bargin bins for about £10, when it's usually around £20-25 if you're looking for one that's fresh off the production line, so to speak :p In the end I'd just be buying it to play Drift 2 and Fighters, so yeah...you can see why I'm hesitant, despite the fact that it's going for cheap.

how do you unlock the ???? games on this? I read that you have to play each available game like 25 times or something, but do you have to play and beat them start to finish or just play a few worlds and then die or something?( I always die, but not on purpose...)
