That's right! Sega and Sonic Team's big game of the year finally arrives for Xbox 360 owners! So Sonic 360, Sonic Next Gen, STH06, or plain old Sonic The Hedgehog is ready or whatever the heck you want to call it. That's right! Some stores have already received the Xbox 360 version of the game while for some it's being shipped.

This is it... Sonic Team's big project for Sonic's 15th anniversary. Don't worry PS3 fans... you'll get yours Holiday 2006.... as for me? I'm just going to wait for one of my friends to purchase one of those systems and then purchase the game then.

Oh and if you want to know if this game is worth it or not... reviews out so far. First off, PLAY Magazine rates this game a 9.5 out of 10, saying it's the first great 3d Sonic game. They claim it's even better than the 2d Sonic's!

A show called "Game On" rated the game an 8.7, saying it's the best 3d Sonic game to date, but still has a few issues, but these issues don't affect the game too much, and the auto reset on the camera helps greatly. Game On also showed some new footage of Radical Train, White Acropolis, Dusty Desert, and Aquatic Base.

The epic orchestral music, the well diverse non linear 3D stages (Better then previous games to put your worries to rest), online and co-op to boot, unlockable characters, and I'll say some.... "Super" surprises for our three main hedgehogs besides the final battle.

It's not Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess but it is definately Sega's Sonic The Hedgehog!

After this I think Sega and Sonic Team finally put out a true winner for their fans and well.... Sonic is back in the popularity baby!

I'm just glad Sonic, Sonic Team, and Sega in general will finally get some respect back and not be loathed by the media and gaming community anymore.

Is it available for the Wii? They have a new sonic game for the Wii, but it sounds like it sucks. Its called Sonic and the Secret Rings...what a horrible name.

Well so far no. Sonic The Hedgehog is only for Xbox 360 and PS3 thus far. It may change in the future but overall no.

Well only one way to find out. Play the game yourself. After all a review is just a review. It just shows whether the reviewer liked the game or not. Not saying if you will like it but they did. Though so far it's been pretty positive in the reviews.

But if anything this feels like Sonic Adventure when it was released on the Dreamcast all over again. And that's a good feeling.

after all the 'crap' 3D sonic games i don't really want to play another sonic game for a while so i'll give this game a miss

Meh. Two games. Heroes and Shadow weren't liked. While the other two, Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 are well... liked. Like I mentioned in the other thread this game is if the original Sonic Adventure were on some major steroids. Needless to say it'll be a next gen hit!

Well I guess when they said going back to his roots they ment going back to SA1. Anyways I won't be getting a 360 anytime soon but I'm sure I can get one of my friends to let me play it just to see how good it is.

I don't think so. If I keep seeing people who refer Sonic Adventure 2 as the best of the 3D ones or the last good Sonic game they played I'm sure it has some quality.

I've already seen some videos on it and I'm some jealous of anyone who has it already. ;__; Very impressive graphics, I must admit. I'm definitely going to get it around the holiday times or maybe next year for my birthday. SA2:B was my favorite game so it's nice that this game reminds me of it. ^_^

I'm pretty sure when it's the first 3D Sonic where you can have the Super forms in levels, some form of online play, a Sonic game with as much replayability as Sonic Adventure 2 again with tons of new missions and rank system (Adding the S Rank), and up to nine characters playable but solo in a main Sonic game is more then realistic graphics.

Considering how linear SA2 is, I don't consider it a good thing to have the replayability of SA2. The online is still being considered. Adding one new rank, woohoo! And the amount of playable characters doesn't matter much when they all mostly play the same.

I'm sure Sonic has the ability to fly with two tails, or climb up walls or glide, or perhaps use psychic powers to his advantages, or to fuel his road rage with some vehicles to drive, or perhaps burn down everyone of his opponents, or heck shoot missles likes some revenge bent robot. I'm sure they'll all play the same. Right.

Besides you're forgetting about the Town Stages. I'm sure from what I seen those Adventure Fields will offer a lot too (Heck did you guys see Sonic Man? FREAKING SONIC MAN? The Sonic fanboy who think's he Sonic? Man the humor Sega poke at these days). Besides I'm sure the stages in the first Sonic Adventure was linear too but it camne out good in the end regardless.

I don't own an XBox 360, and I hope one of the following happens:
1. That I end up saving money for the 360 with the stuff needed, as well as the game,
or 2. That Sega decides to release this game on the PC, just so I could afford it, as well as a special GamePad for it.
