That's in Europe, btw. Until March!?! WTF are hey thinking? Plus they've halved the amount of PS3s being released. Are they trying to bankrupt themselves? Or just shunning Europe out the side and trying to make a buzz by not having enough stock so the PS3, "sells out"?
Honestly, it's pathetic how Europe always gets the end smelling of crap.
EDIT: Just read 2 IGN.com articles and it seems that all PAL territories are being effected, not just Europe. This includes Russia, the Middle East, Africa and Australasia.

Also, the other article states the reasonning behind this. It also states how Sony is "very sorry"... bollocks if you ask me.

This also states hwo they've had to shelve the £40million advertising campain. Just stupid if you ask me.
EDIT2: Reaction from the GAME (a UK retailer) and other people.

Odd that some actually see this as good. I think a console I might get my hands on is better than nothing at all.
EDIT3: Nintendo's response to this recent announcment.

Bassically, Wii is on target for released with over 6 million consoles being shipped.
And, some information about how Sony's Shares were effected due to this announcment.
