Space Exploration is it worth it?

well its been 40 years since the U.S.A. beat the Soviet Union to the moon and as such all the specials have been on TV recently and a thought that came to me was if it is still worth it to continue exploring space

I'm conflicted on this

I do believe that space exploration has brought us many advances in technology and science but I dont think there is much to more to gain from it

what is your opinion?

should we continue space exploration or use the money for something else?
