Yes, I don't just do sprites and comics... I draw dragons.
I refuse to color these, because I cannot color (Terrible at it, actually).
I only have one for now, but I will add more as I go.

C+C Please! I want to improve!
By the way, I will get around to outlining them... eventually.

The body and the front legs seem alright, anatomy-wise. But the back legs seem a little ill-fitted for the body. Maybe it's just the way the back right leg is positioned, it looks almost like it's shaped differntly, and more feline-like than the left hind leg.

The hands on the front legs could use knuckles, but seem fine other than that. Moving on to the wings, I think that the top halves are ill-proportioned to the body, and just awkward looking. Perhaps if you moved the left leg a little further back, it would improve the quality of the image.

Not a problem. I'm really interested in seeing what else you're working on, so I'll be sure to check back when you've finished the next one!

Hey again.

I don't have much to offer on the Phoenix(I'm still shaky with avian anatomy, unfortunately), though as for the newer sketch you've posted, I have some thoughts.

Anatomy-wise, the head, legs, and neck are all fine, though the body of the dragon seems too large and throws everything out of proportion. Another thing, the spine is arching way too far from the ribs/front of the torso. It almost makes it seem like the dragon's spine and ribs are pushing away from eachother, and adds too much bulk.

Though for the anatomy practice, I must say it looks good so far, just pay attention to the "skeleton" you've made for it, as well as proportions, and keep to what I've said before, and you'll do fine. c:

Sounds like a good plan to me! Out of curiousity, I know you don't color, but have you ever considered inking your drawings? There's nothing wrong with just a pencil sketch, though I find it often adds to the quality of any drawing just to add a solid outline. Just my two cents, anyway. >>
