speculation about pre-evo's

this is a speculation about pre-evo's. I think that the pre-evo's are related to the efoort points. If you look at all the pokemon that got pre-evo's in the 4th generation like sudowoodo and snorlax, you see that they all gave 2 effort points in ruby and sapphire etc. (gave: because I don't know if it will stay that way). And the where basic pokemon.
So I think that all pokemon, that are basic (non legendary)pokemon,whithout an evolution, who also give 2 effort points in stead of 1, will get a pre-evo. (there are also basic pokemon that only give 1 effort point like qwilfish).
And I want to know what you're thinking of this.

yes, Neopolis, what you said is right, it will be far to many pre-evo's. But I meant that I thought that only those pokemon could get pre-evo's, not that they all will get pre-evo's

Well you're right but some pokes will never have a pre-evo & still can get from it 2 EP....so far we'll ju st have to wait & see....note I wouldn't like to see many pre-evos of old pokes nor evos cuz I wanna see totally new pokes.

I personally love pre-evo's of Pokemon. I hope there are more, and if there are, they should be for: Skarmory, Khanghaskhan, and any other huge basic Pokemon.

I just hate the pre-evos. They just make the now 2nd stage pokemon weak. look what it did to like magmar. To me I hate the idea alltogether. except the evos for the already there. I only like those.

I had posted a similar idea to this in the New pokemon V2 some time back. I agree with you that the vast majority of pre-evos will be determined from pokemon that only provide 2 effort. Similarly, Evolutions would be based on pokemon that provide 1 effort point with nowhere to go.

That isn't to say ALL pokemon will do this, that'd undermine individual pokemon (a'la kangaskhan). But it's fair to assume that those made will be based around the same system.

I also think they'll introduce several new individual pokemon in this generation that'll follow similar methods in future gens. It's how they keep some pokemon interesting. Sableye and Mawile kinda suck now, maybe one/both will get an evolution in the future; seeing as each only provides 1 EP to start.

No level up evolution. Look at Pikachu, Clefairy, yea.

Does speculation include stats? If so, I reckon the stats will just be lower versions of the evolved forms, with Munchlax having a humungous HP not just for a baby Pokemon, but higher than many evolved Pokemon, and he might be quite fast as well due to his hyperactiveness. Manene and Tamanta going by this will actually have nearly NO attack stat though.

A pre-evo of Sneasal would be nice. We would finally be able to see Sneasal with a longer evolution line.
