Speedy Heracross

This may belong in another forum, but I'll write it here anyways. Move it if neccesary.

Netbattle happening:

I had a Heracross with 259 in speed by balancing the stats so that the attack stat and the speed stats were almost as high as one could have them and the other stats very low.
My opponent had a Tauros that according to him had maxed out speed, and he claimed my Heracross to be "impossible" to exist, by that claiming me to play unfair or something. Then he just simply forfeited for some reason (chickening out/protest for me "cheating"). He never had the chance to see my Heracross' defences and HP (which are crap as I use it as an unltimate sweeper of my team) so I don't know why he took that conclusion.

Now, the thing is that I've used the normal "legal" stuff in the Netbattle program to simply push a bar and making the speed rise, you know the EV balancing thing. Now I don't know if I'm playing against any written/unwritten rule or codec like : "A Heracross' speed shall not exeed the digit of 200, otherwise the user of the Pocket Monster is playing a faulty game and shall be doomed into living an eternity in HFIL".

Well, help me out here please. I want to know what's up and what's down. For the moment I'm very confused because of this. I don't know what to think.

There is no Netbattle forum.

Anyways, to the question:
You can have as much Speed as you want on Hera. His team was probably weak to it, thus he forfieted.

Heracross isn't cheap. Skarmory/Weezing counter it effortlessly.

That's what I thought too. I often get problems by Skarmorys and Weezings when using him.
I deleted his second-strongest powerhouse (Salamence) out of existence and his strongest (Tauros) and would've got his Tank Blissey too.
I see a pattern here, my Heracross used Swords Dance as he switched pokémon (I knew he would switch since that was his playing pattern, hit and switch if weak to opponent). Then he got the wrong impression appareantly. I mean, he would've wiped my Heracross that had almost no defense at all. I think you're right.

And no Netbattle forum? Thought so :)

Heracross has a Base Speed of 85 and Tauros of 110. So either you had a Quick Claw attached to your Heracross, that Tauros didn't have max Speed EVs or you had a good Speed Nature and that Tauros a hindering Speed Nature.

He doesn't know Heracrosses are fast. My Heracross on Emerald is even faster with a speed of 269.

You played against a sore loser/noob. Hera is one of my ulti fronteir pokes and it has a really high speed and attack just like aero. Don't let people like this intimidate you.
