I like the new map! It's way more fun in ranked than turf wars though. One of the first times I played it, I got splatted with the message "splatted by ink from the propeller" or something like that. So I started being really afraid of the propellers, but I'm pretty sure that was just a fluke and they aren't any more harmful than a sprinkler?? lol idk but I only got the message that one time. I actually find it pretty easy to use a splatterscope on... it's annoying in turf wars though because there's those stupid signs displaying miiverse stuff in the way of some of the prime spots. But whatever. If I'm sniping the first thing I do is hang a right up that incline and aim at the opposite grate (where you'd end up if you were on the other team and went straight/left instead of right). I swear there's always one or two people there right from the start and they never seem to notice you. lol
What are you guys' weapon of use in the different type of matches in Splatoon ?
My weapons go like this:
Turf War/Tower Control: Splash-o-matic
Rainmaker: Rapid Blaster Pro Deco
Splat Zones: E-liter 3K Scope/Splash-o-matic
Still trying to learn from the E-liter 3K Scope, but I really like how it functions and I love to use its sub weapons as well. :3
For me it's something like... (in order of general preference):
Turf War: Slosher / Splash-o-matic / Carbon roller / Whatever I feel like playing or practicing really
Tower Control: Luna Blaster (holy cow this thing is cheap but whatever yolo) / Splatterscope / .52gal / Slosher
Rainmaker: Slosher / .52gal
Splat Zones: Slosher / N-ZAP '89
Whenever I use the luna blaster on tower control I have ridiculous K/D ratios ... like close to 20 kills usually. Whenever I see one on the other team I cringe in fear.
So yeah I use the slosher mainly. 1 slosh + 1 burst bomb = bye felicia. I've gotten pretty confident with it, but sometimes I have off days or just feel like using something else. Tower control is so easy to use blasters or chargers that I'll usually use them instead. Also depends on the map, like if it was flounder heights I'd probably use an e-liter instead of a splatterscope, if it was port mackerel I might use a squiffer... etc.
Today I was using the splat/krak-on roller a lot because my friends and I got talking about shooters somehow the other day (their boyfriends play them so they want to be better at them basically xD) and I told them about splatoon and they seemed really interested in a shooter where you could avoid the action and still win. lol. I invited them over to play it tomorrow and was trying to think was the easiest and fastest weapon to learn would be... I figured either a splat roller or the splash-o-matic? Might just get them to use an alternate account so they can play against super low leveled opponents though. xD
