SPPF Character Face-Off Champion League

Welcome to the SPPF Champion Characters Face-Off! This will be a face-off exclusively comprised of winners of other character based face-offs in SPPF. The criteria for determining the participants went as follows:

1. The character must currently be a champion of a face-off in SPPF.
2. The iteration of the face-off where they won should have at least 500 posts (a.k.a. 25 pages) and have been made at most 1 year prior to the start of this face-off *
3. Only the 4 most recent face-offs of any given member where the winners meet the above 2 conditions will be considered in order to avoid over saturation.
4. With that in mind it should be noted that while a given face-off belongs to it’s individual owner, the results of said face-off belong to the SPPF community as a whole.

* So the champion representing the pokémon anime face-off (Ash’s Krookodile) won the previous character winners iteration to earn the right to represent that face-off; while that iteration itself doesn’t meet the 25 page requirement, it consisted of participants who won iterations well over the 25 page mark (e.g. Clemont), and so said requirement is easily met if we consider all of those iterations to play a part in determining the current representative for the pokémon anime face-off.

The format will be round-robin meaning each character will face every other character once. After each set of 5 matches, I’ll post a standings table indicating how each character is doing in terms of wins and net points. After all 9 sets are completed, the characters finishing in the top 4 will advance to the semi-finals with first facing fourth and second facing third. Matches during the round robin stage will have a 30 point threshold with a deuce rule and a 2 hour cooldown.

Note that if you think a character deserves to be here but isn’t like Ken Ichijouji from the Digimon Characters Face-Off or 1 of the winners of a Pokémon Adventures based face-off, or perhaps midway during this face-off a title change happens in another character based face-off and you think the new champion of it is more worthy, then what we can do is the following:

After a winner has been decided amongst the above 10 participants, title matches can be granted to other characters who are champions of a face-off at that time provided that at least 3 SPPF members recommend them for it.
