Spriring Help

Okay, I love pokemon spriting. Actually I love any type of spreiting like mario etc. I do not specialize in photoshop or paint, i specialize in flash. Thats the proffesiaonal animation program, thats very hard to learn. I would like to start off my return carrer by starting to learn sprites. I read the sprite making thread and i still have some questions.

1. When you copy and paste a sprite into the program you are going to edit it, whats the bst way to delete the white area around it?

2. Whats the best program for spriting

1. It depends on which program, like in photoshop you can make it transparent but on MS paint you can't you need another program
2. It depends on what you are trying to do, some people thionk photoshop is God, but MS paint is perfect for any type of spriting (except animation)

ok look i have a page in paint. Im not used to using it though. How do I make the pokemon in the whole paint page just be there insead of the whole page, becaus rihgt now its like a dot in the middle of the page

dont hate me for this crappy first sprite sprite that i poset'd. Its the only way i'll learn. I just copied an electrode, basiclly, well i tried and here it is. I might do a recoulor later.

dont double post....
ok basically... after you saved it as JPG. you cannot change it back you have to remake it... even if you save it back to PNG. its still gonna be JPG. .....
ok just from now on if you use paint when you click save look under the name where you have to name it Pick PNG. no JPG or GIF cause GIF is only good for animation..

You put the http:// twice on the image, thats why all you get is a red x.
