Hmm. Wrageel..

As GoldenOza stated, the uniform style of the fire is displeasing to look at; it makes it seem like a bunch of paper mache spikes.

It's meant to look thin, and I tried basing the style of fire on Typhlosion's as it seemed the most suitable style to try and make it look thin.

The spots are also depressingly uniform. Nearly all of them are just 4x4 circles and don't follow the tubular contours of the body.

I had trouble with making each spot look individual to it's position on the body, and it looked better them being the same than trying to make them all look different.

The tail is shaded as if though it were super thin. I'm not sure if this is something you tried to do, but if it isn't, it needs more circular shading.

The tail is meant to be super-thin; it's an eel. Although it has to have some body for the bone structure, it would need to be thin to help it swim.

There's some weird pillow shading on the bottom of its jaw, not to mention an excessive highlight shade on its head, as well. The eye (is it an eye?) doesn't look like one. I do like the way you did the mouth, though.

The pillow-shading is a problem, I see that now. Imagine the high-lighting as an internal luminescence. Although, I can always take out the brighter shade. And I'm glad there's at least one thing you like in the sprite.

In general, the design is a bit lacking and doesn't really look very Pokemon-like as it's lacking features (horn, flippers, fins, I dunno.)

Any design could be made to look like a Pokémon. People said stuff like that for 5th Gen, so why are people's fakemon any different? THere's always room to experiment with different looks. Rather than giving it fins, I gave it the fire to form the fins, and help with it's Dark/Fire typing. The holes along it's body pump out steam. The designs of Pokémon are very different, and some could say weird in 5th Gen, so I don't see why the "look of Pokémon" should fall into anything about deisgn. Unless the design is generally horrible. Then you can say what you like about the design.

THere's my responses in bold. Thank you the crit. the pillow-shading will be worked on. And I'll try and do something about the holes along it's body.

So, I thought I'd update with the second of the silhouetted sprite. Again, descriptions and everything will be released when I finish all 7. This is Gargentue. Dark/Steel type. based on a gargoyle.

Your sprites are very well done and it seems to me you put alot of time into making them pretty perfect. I like the trainers you repixeled to be larger.

Spherin - seems to have a few straight lines and sharp corners. The shading is weird, because you've made the highlight spot so round, and put it right at the place where an eye would be (if it were a big, one-eyed, ball-thing :p). Nice tongue, the eye is put perfectly, but it could use maybe a small bit of shading and definitely a glint or something in the iris/pupil. That bit just seems plain for what it is. On the right(my right) jaw, are those teeth going in?
Dying to know what this thing is based on (apart from hunger). If you already mentioned it, pardon my memory :p

Gargentue - 1.Sharp wings. You have a dangerous mind :O (oh, and their shading, to me, is... awkward).

FINALLY some crit~ I can always count on you, Oza.

I could add a glint to the pupil. It was hard getting that thing to look remotely circular without using the circle tool. I hate that thing. I'd have to upload the original drawings I've done of him so you could see exactly what was going through my mind with his design. The teeth are going in, yes. I don't know what it's based on, really. I thought hunger, and that was the first thing that came to my mind XD

Shading can be fixed on his wings. I don't actually know why I gave that shading to them. Just so they didn't look completely flat (even though they're meant to be). The gems were interesting to sprite. I just did what I thought would work. Guess it DID work XD I think it looks better without feet. The thing on it's forehead is a gem symbol thing. Again, I'd have to show you the design. I wanted him to have similar eyes to Solrock, and the sad look was what I was aiming for. I didn't want to have too much black in the outline as I wanted him to look "shiny", per-say. And about the dithering, on the lighter parts, it works, but i can see on the legs now it doesn't look so good.

Thanks for the crit, Oza. And yes, 4 more. All designs have been drawn, I just have to sprite them. One is being worked on whenever I get a free moment.

the newest one Spherin, is a good representation of hunger
the colors complement each other really well
the tongue seems a little off center though (however if you planned to animate it the tongue could shoot out and wag back and forth) the jewel eye in the tongue (is that what it is or is it just an eye?) might look a little better if it's more pronounced in either color or size

all in all very nice, scratch that.. it is epic

Hm.. It's been awhile since I gotten to see any of your work. Lets see what I can get from these.

Gargentue:
I'll just start off by saying I'm not too fond of the pose, it looks a bit too... symmetrical but it's up to you if you want to change that. Next thing up is the shading. I'm going to have to agree with Oza about the dithering, way too much for my likes. Finally we have the outline which isn't that defined in it's current state, try adding some darker colours to it to add some depth.

Spherin:
I'm just going to say that I'm not a fan of this fakemon's design to be honest. However I do like the concept of it, almost reminds me of gluttony and the other deadly sins.

Lusteraph:
My only issue with this is the amount of clutter it has going on. While I can see the to red eyes the "forehead" is hard to make out.

Hopefully this helps you with the lack of critiquing but in all honesty, nice sprites.

I finally get some. Anywho. I know there is a lot of dithering with Gargentue, but it was first attempt with a gold kind of sheen.

The design is odd, I must admit, but I felt something new and kind-of interesting would be nice.

They're just meant to be pattern lines on the pokemon.

Lusteraph looks nice but the pattern on the body makes it really unclear for me what is going on... I don't really see the veyes,the mout and stuff...
I also think the sprite doen't look flying/normal type at all. It just is to busy and too 'special' to be normal-typed

Eyes are the red things near the legs of the fakemon, and it has no mouth. There was no other suitable typing for a fakemon that represents an angel. The closest that has been made was Togekiss, and that is Normal/Flying. It doesn't suit Steel, and Ghost doesn't work for an angel.
