Hey, I see potential in your works.

You might want to start doing scratches without reference to existing poses. Maybe try working on fakemon? That way you can slowly work towards more original sprites.

You seem to have a good grasp over shading. Perhaps you could be bolder with the lighter shades or even, use more than 3 shades. This will allow for more detail.

The Ice man's mug shot is decent. Try adding a lighter shade to make it shinier. I know you're trying to stick to Nintendo's style, but you could start working towards your own spriting style.

Hey, thanks for that. That's the kinda feedback I need. I've been working on scratching my own trainer sprites, and here's one I currently worked on of me:

And as for The Mask Of Ice, I was actually thinking of adding a lighter shade to give it a bit more finesse. More colours would make for more detail, I agree. Thanks for that, Zelio. Your input is much appreciated.

Well everyone, it's been a while since I've uploaded a new sprite. This time, I've made a fakemon. Yes, I scratched my own pokemon, and I'm heaps proud with it. So here is the profile for my pokemon... KRIKEPEDE!

Description: During evolution, the knife like arms of this pokemon became twisted and more continued to
grow on it's body during the process of evolution. Some say the night is what turned this pokemon from being a musical bug to a ferocious monster.

Thanks dude. I had a lot of trouble spriting it, though. It was hard to keep it in the 80x80 limit. Also, the tail I had trouble with, but I'm happy with how it turned out.
 
For the Relicanth evo, the lightsource is a bit inconsistant from my eyes. On the fin, it goes downward while the head goes upward. The front and back fin also look a bit too straight, so it could have some removed pixels in certain areas. I don't think dithering is really needed here, because it really just adds a shade which isn't needed here. There is also some parts of body that need more shades or anti-aliasing.

OK, thanks for the tips. Would you recommend anything on Krikepede?
 
For Krikepede, the dithering is a little much. On some parts of the body, the light source is facing different directions. Blade on tail could also use some better shading and anti-aliasing.

Yeah, I messed up Kriketune's shading badly on the first few connections on his body. I'm gonna working on a new fakemon tonight, so I'll attempt better shading, less dithering. And could you please explain this anti-aliasing. I think that's the only thing I haven't been told about.

I adore Coelecient.
I seriously think that Nintendo just could take this sprite and put it in the game.
It's actually a Pokémon that does look like one too.
Most spriters make fakemon that are monsters of your worst nightmare that wouldn't eat James WITHOUT blood. But this one just fits in the whole Pokémon thing. The only thing that needs to be done is its upper horn. It looks like a tumor, lol... (no offence)
