Square Enix to make a Mario Basketball game for the NDS.

Kind of cool, but I wonder what their going to do with it? Will it suck or will it be a great game? This is kind of interesting because I think SE hasn't made a Mario game for Nintendo since the SNES days.

Retro Studios was making it, but they dropped it to do Metroid Prime.

But it is for the DS. Always a plus. Either that or crappy Tennis and Golf mario games. (The console ones are by far BETTER)

They might continue to do Football. But I'm sure the next variations are Hockey, Volleyball, and maybe even Dodgeball - what other sports am I forgetting? (lots)

Mario Kart is its own Car game and its own successful series, so it doesnt fit in with that really.

I actually enjoy the mario sport games more then the so called real game rendition. I never buy the mario sport games though I just rent'em. Next Mario Rugby.

I'm not exactly a major fan of the Mario Sports games, so I can't really say anything until I play it. I just know that they're milking the cash cow.

(I did like Mario Baseball...Meh.)

Mario Soccer was the best damn sports game... period. o.o

But perhaps this one will be better. Hopefully the touch screen will serve a more useful purpose than to navigate menu's. >>

Yeah I knew about this along time ago. Although I'm not a big fan of the Mario sports I enjoy a few of them such as strikers and tennis. I also think its alright now that we are being promised two new solid Mario games soon. We are supposed to be getting New Super Mario Bros in the spring and we are supposed to be getting a mario game at or around launch for Revolution codenamed "Mario 128".
