Square's Pokémon Mobile App. to come to the US

Thats right, the recently revealed Application called "Pokémo-to" which gives an e-mail system is coming to the US

Square-Enix are to show the US version of this application, to be called PokéMate, at the Mobile conference of E3 on May 10th

This is set for JP Release in Summer '06, US release is of yet undecided

Wow, yet more useless tat with a pokemon or two drawn on so it'll 'appeal' to fans with more money than sense. How about the creators of Pokemon concern themselves with getting Diamon and pearl out on time instead filling the days up with more and more crap.

Eh, the background graphics look good but everything else is just generic sprite rips from the games. If they looked more original like Ranger or Dungeon sprites, it'd appeal more.

Besides, Square Enix worked miracles before, with Kingdom Hearts II!

Well, that's nice and all, but it's also kind of stupid. I agree with Dan in saying that they're just trying to shove more products down our throats using Pokémon. I mean, does anyone here need a cellphone that does nothing highly interesting except draw attention to themselves?
It sounds useless to me, and I doubt it will have any amazing features that would impress me or make me even consider buying it. Even if it could play games and hook up with other people with the phone, I still wouldn't be interested. (What customer appeal?)
