• Hi all. We have had reports of member's signatures being edited to include malicious content. You can rest assured this wasn't done by staff and we can find no indication that the forums themselves have been compromised.

    However, remember to keep your passwords secure. If you use similar logins on multiple sites, people and even bots may be able to access your account.

    We always recommend using unique passwords and enable two-factor authentication if possible. Make sure you are secure.

  • Usergroup Changes

    The mod+ usergroup has been removed. Due to this, now only smods and above can auto-ban users and do custom infractions, but all staff can now edit signatures. The mod+ have changed usergroups as follows
    Archangel and bobandbill - smod

    Removed Official Serebii Tutoring Program

    Added a new rule:
    No attention whoring posts: By this, we mean posting things like "omg I just cut myself!! lol" or talking about other personal issues on a constant basis simply to gain attention, especially when it's unrelated to the current discussion. These posts are a bad idea for a few reasons:
    1)They are often not appropriate for this forum in the first place.
    2)They annoy everyone who starts to notice the pattern in your posting.
    3)They diminish the seriousness of legitmate depression/other problems.
    If you actually have depression, this isn't meant to be antagonistic towards you and you won't get in trouble for simply posting that you have depression; this rule is meant to prevent people from posting like this simply to get attention. Also note that this isn't limited to depression/cutting posts but any sort of posts where the user is clearly fishing for attention. This is also at staff discretion so don't try to appeal by saying something like "but i wasnt attention whoring, they asked how my day was and i answered them by saying i cut myself until i bled all over!" or something.
