Stall weak no longer? - an OU Warstory.

Gamefreak

Well-Known Member
A copy pasta from another site.

"So yeah! I have always had a problem with my Bulky Offense teams being stall weak. Blue Harvest always thrashed me so hard when I played against her Stall when running something not called Heavy Offense. I have tested and tweaked my Bulky Offense team and I feel it has hit its peak. I started with a team which couldn't break Blissey, which is really sad.

I am honestly convinced this is one of the most reliable teams I ever created, and I am very happy with it. Sure, I cannot counter LO Starmie/Offensive Cune with this team, but I can reliably check them. All teams have their quirks, and I seem to be able to play around the aforementioned quirks. In a matter of fact, I feel it is quite hard to counter Life Orb Starmie without a Blissey or something like Scarftar. Does every single team run those? No, so I think I am fine in that department. Take note:This is not Earthworm running stall against me, so its not like I am playing against the strongest player in the world.

So I give you a warstory vs a stall team on the ladder! =)

MC_LizardMan's Metagross fainted.

Okay, I saw a Pert lead. That hinted to me he isn't running offense, but a balanced/defensive team. I also knew I had Rockless Metagross, which meant I don't care if I blow up straight onto his Swampert. So I went for it, knowing it will help Dragonite in the long run just in case he ran stallish pokemon. Pert got blown up into pancake mix, and the battle continues! Metagross:Im afraid to blow up, LizardMan is so mean =(

lotzz better switched in Forretress (lvl 100 Forretress ?).
MC_LizardMan switched in Swampert (lvl 100 Swampert ?).
Swampert used Stealth Rock.
Pointed stones float in the air around the foe's team!
Forretress used Toxic Spikes.
Toxic Spikes were scattered around the foe's team!

It was a blind switch, so the safe thing to do was to go into Pert and try and get Stealth Rock. He sent in Forry. I was debating if going for the rocks was a good idea or not, but if he spinned them away it would give me a free turn regardless. I also knew it was likely he was running a Rest/Talk Gyara, which rocks will seriously neuter. Going for the Stealth Rocks seemed like the best option.

Forretress used Spikes.

Breloom's Poison Heal restored health!

Okay, I know he laid Toxic Spikes, so I felt it would be a good opprotunity to poison Breloom. I also feel most Stall teams have alot of trouble playing against Breloom, so I bailed right into Breloom since I know Forry cannot harm me hold Explosion. He most likely would have spinned/set more hazards regardless. Breloom decided to spread his gametes on the opposing team... intriguing. Just to think this is how Mushrooms usually reproduce. Breloom:This is how I jizz

I called it. I knew he would have brought in a status absorber, and it just so happened to be the Gyara I predicted earlier. Even if I was Intimidated, Seed Bomb from Breloom should do a fairly decent amount. I didn't even bother going for the Sub since he could Roar me away.

Heatran was roared in, and I have no idea why I went for the Fire Blast. But yeah, I Fire Blasted it and got Roared again. Gyara also ate a Seed Bomb better than I thought it would. Also Mushrooms don't have Seeds. Another weird thing is pokemon like Raticate/Arbok etc can get Seed Bomb. A mystery in the pokemon world? =\ Gyarados:**** YOU!

I went for the Draco Meteor in an attempt to finish Gyara, and I knew anything switching in would take a shitload. He happened to switch in a Snorlax, so I decided to go for the Superpower. Snorlax:Ohohoho, I can take these all day. Just try me, my fat is an excellent shield! Dragonite:I am going to beat your *** if you stay in. Snorlax:Oshi *runs away.*

I was debating whether or not he would switch again, but going for another Draco Meteor would have been helpful regardless of who it hit so I went for it at the cost of some of Nite's health. If he Will o Wisped, that would have been... bad, but it didn't. So yeah.

At this point I was willing to sacrifice Nite, since I was a fool and let it get beat up. However, I knew he had Rest/Talk Gyara, and I knew he had Scarfed Rotom as well. So I predicted the switch into Gyarados, and figured it would be a good opprotunity to heal Dragonite for late game. Dragonite:Zzzzz, now I can fight for a longer amount of time. Ahh, I love a good Meteor shower.

The game was simplified to such an extent, Spore is honestly broken. Imagine having two pokemon, one is asleep, and the other gets punched behind a sub and sleep clause means you can Spore his last guy if neccesary. Blah blah blah, LizardMan is ranting about stupid ******** again!
