Starmie or Gardevoir?

Long story short, I'm looking for a special sweeper that can withstand physical hits, and has amazing sp attk. Two pokemon caught my eye: Starmie with its average defense, and Gardevoir, with its extreme sp attk.
Which should I choose for my BF team? You guys can also help with movesets, but its completely optional. As for nature, I'm going modest.

I'd do with starmie for the BF, even though I <3 gardevoir.

It is fast, recover, good special attack, boltbeam, stab surf, and natural cure.

I say Starmie. Good moveset, Sp. Attack, and Defence.

Since you also want a little defense you have to go with starmie like everyone else said.

well, both of them are in my frontier team along with alakazam. id go with starmie even though i like gardevoir more.

Yes, Starmie is the best choise, but Starmie is far too overused... So I would pick Gardevoir...

Starmie: nice movepool, good speed, nice special attack. If I was you I would pick Starmie.
