Starter challenge.

Have you defeated the game without using anything other than your starter? I'm currently working on a game like that after having selected Charmander. It's now a level 31 Charmeleon, and I can't beat Misty. Her Staryu is easily defeated, but her Starmie is hard. I should've gotten Mega Punch. Maybe I'll use a walk through walls Gameshark code to go back and learn it. It would be a lot easier if it knew Bubblebeam instead of Water Pulse like in the original games, when I did the same thing as what I'm doing now almost because I was six and didn't train anything but my Charmander/meleon/izard.

You can't stomp through the game with just one strong pokemon. Always have 6 different types with the correct HM's to get through.

Oh yeah. Well, I could just make an exception for that only. I'll just use a level 5 Tentacool so that it won't be able to do anything anyways.

Not all HMs are required for the main part of the game, only Cut, Surf and Strength. Flash and Fly aren't required.

I don't find that hard using a Charmeleon, just keep training it until the appropriate level you need.

It's monotonous doing it where I am now, seeing as the highest level wild pokemon I can find in the places I can go to is 13, which are rare compared to the level 7-10s in the same area, when I have a level 31 Charmeleon.

Hm. I've beaten my Blue version with just a Charizard once. And as you can imagine, it was extremely hard. Shinin, I wish you the best of luck!

Yeah I beat it with a Lv. 31 Charmeleon, along with a Pidgeotto on her Staryu first.

On my old red version, I beat the game with just my Charizard. I had a Charizard in the Viridian Forest. As you may know, it was extremely long, boring, and pretty hard. Ah, the memories.

i find that hilarious

Mongoose

Steel Trainer
I've done it with Venusaur, and now I'm doing it again with my charizard. I beat misty by evolving my charmeleon. The VS Seeker is great for training it at a high level. I just beat pokemon tower with my lv. 54 charizard.

RPG Maker

Lost Dreamer
When I first started playing I didn't know where to find poke balls lol and just went up to Lt. Surge with a Charizard (evolved while fighting Brock.)

Ajox

Wobbuffet Expert
Pick up a Pikachu and make sure it knows Thundershock. Then Misty is very easy.

Brocko18

Training telekinetic
It would be very easy to do that b/c the pokemon would level up very fast, since it's the only one ur training. and you don't have to use other pokemon in battle, but you can have others in ur team just for surf, and cut and such. I've done that before, b/c I like to challenge myself.

Twilit Dragoon

*omnious thunderstorm*
Never tried it before. I'd find it weird just raising one Pokemon, I like variety.
