In science they would use snout to vent rather than a height, but pokemon seems to choose the actual height measurement semi randomly with it sometimes being shoulder, sometimes snout to vent, sometimes top of head and sometimes wingspan

Infernape is 3'11ft, so some starters can be on the smaller side. And Rowlet3 really dos not look too tall imo.

Yeah, Ambipom's got the same height, but given that both are chimps and not a gorilla or something, that still makes a ton of sense. But then again, Passimian (a lemur) is 6'07"... While Oranguru sits more or less in between at 4'11". The fully evolved Simi's and Primeape are all shorter then Infernape/Ambipom at 3'03", with Simisage being a bit longer because of the tuft, but still shorter then Infernape. Darmanitan is 4'03"..

I just realized that while still a sloth, partially gorilla-based Slaking is 6'07" just like Passimian. Point being that sizes can be deceiving, but monkeys tend to be short.

Now... About those deceiving sizes.. Who thought that after seeing the animé decades ago that an ordinary Noctowl actually measures up to 5'3" (1m60).. Seeing how GameFreak has been pretty much consistent with their Simian sizes, Lemurs and Sloths not withstanding. With the Oranguru being the larger exception, the fully evolved ones basically sit around 3'03" to 4'03", which is just a foot difference.

And if you do count Oranguru, then it's just shy of two feet difference, but seeing as how an orangutan is generally seen as being a big ape, like a gorilla and not like a chimp, the size difference is understandable. From what we can tell, such a difference isn't apparent between the designs of Noctowl and Rowlet3, so we could infer that Rowlet3 isn't Infernape-like small. But rather in the general range in which most starters tend to fall. Which is around 4'11" to 5'7", some smaller some larger depending on their design..

I wouldn't be surprised to see if Rowlet3 is somewhere in between those figures, at all.

depending on how they played that, it could be almost as creepy as that fake clown popplio evo from forever ago... so yeah, it in some ways would be a nice nod to real owls, but I could just see it not going so well...

Uh if the starters dont have split evos, its going to be a very big reach for rowlet and especially litten to get to the leaked one.

Ah I love them! Dartix and Torracat are especially awesome, it's a shame the latter's evolution it so terrible. I don't really see much of a similarity between Rowlet's evolutions but the other two definitely look similar to the leaked final stages.

That Rowlet evo doesnt look archery to me. And Litten doesnt look like a wrestler.

I agree, those two don't look like they are going in the direction of the artwork at all.

Popplio's evo I can see, though.

I think it's safe to say the leaked evos are true.

Dartrix's fringe is on the way to becoming a hood, and his name including dart implies the relation to projectiles.

Torracat's collar is very similar to Liften's belt, and it fires its moves out of it in the same way.

Brionne is heading down the stereotypically feminine route already with the dress mimicking Poppliovely's and the beginning of hair with those pigtails.

I'm sure there will still be people that argue, but I am thoroughly convinced.

EDIT: Hahaha, already, as predicted. Guys, just look at how similar middle stages usually are. Grotle doesn't look much like Torterra, Combusken looks nothing like Blaziken, and nobody believed Greninja came from Frogadier, but the similarities are definitely there.

I love all 3 of the evolutions. Popplio is still going to be my starter though even if I'm not as keen on Brionne as I am the other too. Popplio's leaked final evolution is easily my fave of those 3 and I don't want to pass it up.

Thats still a huge jump. At least like with pignite to emboar it was very obvious at that point. It will piss people off when it turns into the final one.
