I really don't get why people are so hyped up about CoroCoro right now... You do realize this game is being released worldwide, so any information that will be revealed on this game will be revealed at the same time across the globe, so you have to look at places where information can be released simultaneously... I'm talking E3, CES, those kind of Events. CoroCoro will probably only rehash stuff we already know, maybe release artwork. But any and all information coming from a source in a specific country will be very MINIMAL at best...

Also, the Starters final evolutions were revealed mearly weeks (2-3 weeks) before BW launch, so saying waiting for 7-8 months isn't a stretch tbh...

Personally, I'm leaning towards Froakie. I think he has the most potential for evolutions, and while I am a diehard Charmander fan from my original Pokemon days, I've been playing with water starters since Silver.

I'm also betting on Grass / Dark, Fire / Psychic, Water / Fighting. Although its hard to say. We could just be getting excited when really we'll just be getting Grass / Fire / Water. We have no reason to believe there are two types for each.

We all know CoroCoro will reveal new info. It's not like they're just going to be like 'it's a worldwide launch, we're just going to wait until a couple certain points in the year and leave everyone wondering.' They won't. Pokémon.com as well as other resources for other countries can simply reveal new info at the same time. CoroCoro is just how they release it for Japan. They won't change things just for a global launch.

Well CoroCoro is in 5 days and will likely be leaked in less. Let's see what they have to offer. They could maybe give us some new information... Or they could totally just repeat everything that's known currently.

I have a feeling that they will reveal something substantive, but it will be game play related and probably a few of the weaker route 1 pokemon. Maybe a few NPC's... I doubt they'll just rehash everything though.

for my personal tradition sake and the fact it looks better than the rest im gonna choose fennekin since like i just said i have this little self induced tradition of picking the fire starter for each new gen when im first starting them.
ill be impress (and a little disappointed) if the day comes that a game creates a fire starter so bad i wouldnt want to start with it.

Why change the game and go back to the source that revealed everything the last time around and gave them grief? Wasn't Nintendo pissed off that USA was knowing everything before the release? Hence the CAD orders?

Ah, my bad about the evos... I'm thinking that may take some time too? Who knows really... like I said, Nintendo is taking a new path here... I doubt we will also see alot of these pokemon in the Anime prior to released, apart from the ones we already know...

I think any of us will be happy to see some Gen 6 pokes, even if they're only the Route 1 pokes. I think for NPCs...I'm not sure, I find it kind of doubtful that they will...if at all, maybe the Professor. Quick question: Does anyone know when the Unova region map was revealed to the public? If we know that we may have some minor basis on when the Gen6 region map will be released, maybe not though.

The problem with Americans knowing everything was with when BW was released in Japan and everything was being leaked around, even here on Serebii, but eventually that passed and we knew everything. There's no way they can just stop Americans, or anyone else for that matter, knowing about things in the game if they're released by CoroCoro. Like I said, TPC can easily just post info on Pokémon.com as well as Pokémon resources in other countries. I highly doubt that we won't get things from CoroCoro. (Yes, that's a double negative.)

Very interesting, could be a 'freeze version' of Scald, but it also could be an ice type move for Froakie. I'm thinking that it could be, maybe but unlikey, that it's Ice Beam but with the Gen 6 graphics.

Forgive me, but I think we settled that issue about 50 pages back give or take 20. Those are most likely "splash rings"; 2D water attack effect.

I thought so too, but then I saw the same 'snowflakes' in Fennekin's fire attack. Not sure what to think.

I think it was revealed a couple of months after and part of it was obscured by clouds. I can't remember when they gave us the name though.

I've looked close at the flamethrower. It's kind of shaped like suns more than snowflakes. After seeing that I'm not entirely sure now...

I hope they give us the region name soon at least, that will bug me the most. So I guess we should expect the map and region name by the summer probably.

You're definitely right, the flamethrower and 'Froakie attack' things are different. The flamethrower clearly has suns while Froakie's attack clearly has snowflakes.

The snowflakes are probably just water rings effect. Every version of Water gun has some of those, if I'm not mistaken!

Yeah, I gotta agree with ninijatt—they look more like rings of water rather than snowflakes. Plus they're more of a bluish color rather than white.

Oh my god. Fennekin has like double the votes of both Chespin and Froakie.

I voted for Froakie, despite liking Chespin the most at first and still not being sure which one I like most.

The only way Fennikin could possibly be Fire/Fighting is if it's head turned into a flaming boxing glove upon evolution. I wouldn't be too worried about the odds of that.

*Loves that Fennekin is winning the poll like the diva that she is* I'm dancing a jig of joy right now. Fennekin is the best-looking Starter Pokemon we've had in a while. Only Oshawott is on par with her magnificence. Froakie and Chespin just can't keep up, which is actually amusing to me for some reason. I guess it's refreshing to see that a Fire-type is being appreciated after the way Tepig was snubbed in the previous generation.

Is fennikin confirmed as a fox? Been reading the whole vulpix 2 thing....seems more like a chihuahua or jackal to me....a fully evolved jackal would seem interesting
